Hello!
This is the first activity booklet made by Heating Swaffham Prior for kids in the Village. Over the next few weeks we will think about a Village of the Future...do you hop onto a hoverboard to go to school? Does a giant windmill power the Village? Do you eat flowers that taste like a roast dinner?
This week we are going to look at COMMUNITY. Who we are, who is important to us, and how we work together as a village.
Follow the activities, and with your parent’s help - share some pictures of your work on the Heating Swaffham Prior Facebook Page, there may be prizes involved... (see page 19).

Who are we?
Did you know that the word Swaffham means ‘From the Home of the Swabians? The Swabians are people who live in an area of Germany. They eat ‘Spatzle’, worm-like egg noodles!
The word Prior refers to Ely Priory Manor. Many people living in the village would work for the Manor and live in houses or farms which it owned.
