BUT NEGLECTED THE MAN HIMSELF, WHO THE BASIC FACTOR OF NATION

I have travelled across the length and breadth of India. I have seen in this country such high moral values, people of such caliber that I dont think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage and therefore I propose that we replace her old ancient education system, her culture for if the Indians think that will loose their self esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.

BLINDLY IMITATING THE WEST IN EVERY RESPECT

AFTER 67YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE. SITUATION

COUNTRY IS ON THE ROAD OF DEVELOPED COUNTRY

ECONOMY IMPROVED, STANDARD OF LIVING IMPROVED

WE ARE SELF SUFFICIENT IN FOOD PRODUCTION, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY ETCGOVERNMENT ADOPTED Macaulay EDUCATION SYSTEM

WEST MAY BE GREAT IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BUT

THEY ARE FED UP WITH THEIR OWN CULTURE, THEIR WAY OF LIFE

GOVERNMENT INTRODUCED WESTERN TYPE OF EDUCATION, NEGLECTING OUR OWN AGE-OLD SYSTEM OF EDUCATION, BASED ON GRAND CULTURE, ETHOES, AND VALUES.

RESULT

THEY STRESSED ON TO SHARPEN THE INTELLECT AND STRENTHEN THE BODY. WE HAVE CREATED HITLERS. SOCIETY AT LARGE UNREST, CUT-THROAT COMPETITION, BREAK-UPS IN FAMILIES, INCREASE NUMBER OF DIVORSES, RAPES, MURDERS.

PEOPLE CANT STAND ON THEIR OWN AND FACE THE PROBLEM OF THE LIFE.

WE HAVE CREATED CIVILISED AND LITERATE YOUTH BUT NOT CULUTRED AND EDUCATED ( IN RAMAYANA TIME LANKA WAS CIVILISED BUT NOT CULTURED, KISHKINDA WAS CULTURED BUT NOT CIVILISED, ON THE CONTRARY AYODHYA WAS BOTH CIVILISED AND CULTURED)

OUR SCRIPUTRES SAYS :

SAA VIDYA YAA VIMUKTAYE THAT IS ONLY KNOWLEDGE WHICH LIBERATES US FROM ALL TYPES OF BONDAGES VIZ.. PHISICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, INTELLECTUAL.

IF ANY KNOWLEDGE CONFINES US, ENSLAVES, RESTRICTS AND BOUNDS OUR ASCENT FROM OUR LOWER PLANE TO HIGHER PLANE, IT IS NOT KNOWLEDGE (NOW A DAYS MAN BECOME THE SLAVE OF BODY, MIND AND EMOTIONS)

SWAMIJI INSISTED THAT WE WANT MAN-MAKING EDUCATION. MAN-MAKING MEANS CHARACTER BUILDING EDUCATION.

CHARACTER BUILDING MEANS INCULCATING POSITIVE VALUES SUCH AS CHASTITY, HONESTY, TRUTHFULNESS, STRAIGHT-FORWARDNESS, SIMPLICITY, HUMILITY,PURITY, RENUNCIATION, SERVICE ATTITUDE ETC.

IN BHAGAVAD GEETAS 13TH CHAPTER THERE ARE 33 VALUES HAVE BEEN GIVEN FOR CULTIVATION.

IN 16TH CHAPTER LORDS TALKS ABOUT DIVINE QUALITIES FOR OUR ALL-ROUND DEVELOPMENT.

SO ULTIMATELY THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION IS..

MASTERY OVER BODY, MIND, EMOTIONS AND INTELLECT.USEFUL FOR THE SOCIETY, NATION AND WHOLE WORLD AT LARGE. BECAUSE EXTENTION OF MAN IS FAMILY, COMMUNITY, SOCIETY, NATION, WORLD AND WHOLE CREATION.HE IS INTER-CONNECTED, INTER-RELATED AND INTER-DEPENDENT.AS SWAMIJI PUTS IT EACH SOUL IS POTENTIALLY DIVINE. MENIFEST THE DIVINITY BY CONTROLLING THE NATURE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL AND BE FREE. SO EDUCATION HAS TO LIFT MAN FROM ANIMAL LEVEL TO MAN, TO SUPERMAN TO DIVINE MAN.

WE ARE OBSERVING SWAMIJIS 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY.

THIS SEMINAR SHOULD NOT END WITH SOME TALKS AND LECTURES BUT

WE HAVE TO IMPLEMENT IT WITH RIGHT SPIRIT SO THAT WE CAN CREAT E MAN WITH CAPITAL M, WHO THINKS HE IS THE PART OF THE WHOLE AND WORK FOR GOOD SOCIETY, COUNRY AND WHOLE CREATION.
