Tram track renewal work of this nature only occurs once every few decades This secƟon of track has not been replaced since 1952. Road closures During the works, Swan Street will be closed to all traĸc between remorne Street and Wunt Road. Olympic Boulevard will be closed to through traĸc between Punt Road and the tram track entrance to Melbourne Park (approximately 150 metres towards the Yarra River from Punt Road). ars will be able to turn leŌ from Olympic Boulevard into Punt Road. Punt Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direcƟon. These road closures are expected to cause signiĮcant traĸc congesƟon in the area. Motorists should avoid Swan Street and Punt Road, take alternaƟve routes and allow extra Ɵme for their ũourney. For customers travelling to and from Swan Street, Richmond a tram replacement bus will operate in both direcƟons via Power Street, tallen Road, Swan Street and hurch Street to connect with Route ϳ5 and the diverted Route 70 trams. Buses will operate every 10–15 minutes.
