5 About this Game

Swapdoodle is an application thatuses SpotPass to exchangehandwritten notes with friends.Learn how to draw your favoritecharacters by taking doodlelessons, and send your doodles toyour friends as notes.♦ A Personal Mii and friend card

are required to use Swapdoodle.♦ For information regarding

registering friends and deletingfriend cards, please check theOperations Manual for yoursystem.

6 Lesson Store (Paid Content)

In the Lesson Store, you can goonline to purchase packs whichexpand the features of Swapdoodle(page 9). You can also try outlessons in Trial Mode, anddownload the free Starter Pack.

To go to the Lesson Store, touch on the Folder List screen (page

8).

Items will be marked wit whenyou add them to the cart. Lessonsets and packs containing lessonsinclude trial versions, each of whichoffers one fixed lesson. To try alesson out, select an item and thentouch Trial Mode.♦ You can't save anything in Trial

Mode.

● There are no returns orexchanges of DLC.

1. Select the lesson set or packyou wish to purchase. Touch"Add to Cart", and then touch"Check Out".

2. Read the message that appears,and if you agree, touch "Agree"to continue.

 ♦ Review the download details.

 ♦ If you delete your accountactivity or Nintendo NetworkID, you will not be able todownload the content again.

4. Purchased lesson sets or packsand their corresponding contentwill be downloaded.

● DLC content is saved to the SDcard.

● DLC content can only be used onthe system where it wasoriginally downloaded. Even ifthe SD card containing the DLCis inserted into another system, itwill be unusable.

To purchase DLC, you must havethe required funds in your NintendoeShop account balance. If you donot have the required funds, youwill be prompted to add funds.Select "Add Funds" to proceed.A Nintendo eShop Card or creditcard is needed to add funds.♦ If credit card information is

registered, funds will beincreased with the cardinformation just by entering apassword.

7 Saving and Deleting Notes

Extra data will be created on the SDcard the first time you launchSwapdoodle. Saved note data willbe stored here.Ta after creating a note to saveit. Received notes are savedautomatically.♦ Don't use save data from other

devices. If that data is read, youwill not be able to read notesfrom friends or Doodle Viewers(page 10) or send replies (page11) for a fixed amount of time.

Swapdoodle can save a combinedtotal of 200 notes and replies.Once you hit this limit, you won't beable to write or draw any new notesor doodles until you have deletedsome old ones. Each note can haveup to 100 replies. If the number ofreplies exceeds the limit, the oldestreplies will be deleted as newreplies arrive.♦ With the free Starter Pack and

the other paid packs (page 9),the number of items that can besaved will increase. Furthermore,older items will be automaticallydeleted after exceeding 6300.

In order to delete notes, toucin the Note List menu (page 8),then select the notes you wish todelete. Replies can be deleted bytouchin on the NoteConfirmation screen (page 11).♦ Notes marked as favorites (page

11) can't be deleted.♦ Once deleted, extra data can't

be recovered, so please becareful.

You can receive notes and repliesthat haven't been read bySwapdoodle even when it isn'trunning. Swapdoodle can read upto 30 items in one go when younext start it up. If the size of thedata gets too large beforelaunching the software, items willstart being deleted, oldest first.

Selects a pen. When you would liketo use a color other than BasicBlack, touch another colored penonce. Touch a pen twice to choosea different color. If you swap anactively used pen for a differentcolor, the color of what has beenwritten so far will also change.

10 Sending and Receiving Notes

Once you've completed a note,touch the Save icon, and thenselect "Save and send." Selectwhich friends you would like to berecipients. The note will be savedfor sending and sent automaticallyvia SpotPass. You can send and receive noteseven when the game isn't active. Ifthe system is in sleep mode, it willautomatically search for a LANaccess point in order to access theInternet via a wireless connection.♦ Your friend may not receive your

note if they are not connected tothe Internet or are in anenvironment with poor Internetconnectivity. It is also possiblethat they have not received yournote because they have deletedyour friend card or blocked you.

♦ Data received via SpotPass issaved on the SD card. It isrecommended that the SD cardremains in the console.

♦ Notes will be dated on the daythey are written, while replies aredated on the day they weredelivered.

Select a page on the bottom screenand the note will be played backfrom that page.

Marks a note as a favorite. Touchthis button again to remove thenote from your Favorites folder.

Lists the friends a note has beensent to.

If the note is from a doodle lessonyou do not yet have, the LessonStore button will appear. If youalready have that doodle lesson,the Start Lesson button will appear.
