Southwest Container Solutions: PneuBulk 1 News Release – 9.20.16

“This is going to change the way every industry ships in bulk – whether by truck, rail or barge.” “The PnueBulk1(PB1), a Southwest Container Solutions’(SCS) product, is now in the field, performing well beyond all expectations”, according to Southwest Container Solutions CEO, Richard Caldwell. To further explain, Caldwell stated,

“Conventional dedicated tanker trailers, designed for a single mode operation requires silos for the material at either end of the transport chain. However, the PB1 can be combined with commonly available chassis trailers to create a cost

effective case for a temporary road silo. Therefore, Drivers can make deliveries at any time, allowing for greater efficiency and control over driver time”.

“This unit has 800 cubic ft. of storage capacity; and, it can be shipped in the intermodal system, being utilized as a long or short term storage option. Fly ash, Frac Sand, Catalyst, Cement, Drilling Mud, even hazardous waste and other powdered bulk materials can be top loaded or vacuumed directly into the container,” Gary Waller said. He went on to say that the PB1 discharges with traditional blowers that are mounted on most US Trucks.

Industry veteran Gary Waller said, “This is going to change the way every industry ships in bulk – whether by truck, rail or barge.” He is now taking his clients in a new direction with a new shipping container that will mean no more bags, silos, large tanker trucks – reducing labor, storage and distribution costs. “Whether you are designing a single shipment or large scale terminal operation, the ability to unload via pressure or vacuum is a tremendous advantage.”, Gary stated.

The PneuBulk1 is the first ISO 9000 Bulk Pneumatic Container to be introduced into the United States that not only meets all stringent ISO standards, but it has also been tested and approved by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). Basically, it has been approved in the United States, Mexico and Canada for all intermodal use.

“It is a road tanker, rail tanker or storage silo all rolled into one unit– allowing our customers to change deliveries on short notice – and for less”, according to Caldwell.

Richard Caldwell is no stranger to the material handling and logistics business. He is also the CEO and owner of Crown Machinery, a leader in material handling and fabrication for more than 20 years. www.crownmachinery.us Caldwell said “you can’t just look at one segment of the supply chain – they are all linked together – the PB1 just took some links out and made the whole chain shorter, stronger and more profitable.”

“We are not in the business of selling product. Our goal in developing every solution is to solve our customer’s problem or achieve their objective. We provide them with a PB1 ROI review – exactly what it will mean to them – from all perspectives – not just cost savings”, Caldwell added.
