Check power plug is in at stern
Remove hatch

Loosen battery module strap
Remove battery module case, disconnect battery module lead wires

Reinstall fresh battery module and secure strap

Mission Ready Checklist
Check power plug is installed in stern (power off)
Check and ensure cover string is pulled tight and tied to cleats

Check Cover at bow (front)/ sides (ensure nose of boat is secure as shown and all 4 twist snap fasteners on the sides are locked)
Slide button to turn on remote control (transmitter)

Check that voltage is OK, should be above 10.0 volts
Ensure your finger is off the throttle control trigger

Test controls (Throttle- Motor should speed up, Steering- Water Jet on rear of boat should turn freely both left and right)

Replace power plug in at stern

Remove flagpole, can be stored inside cover byopening zipper
Unclip two canvas twist snaps on each side

Untie drawstring cleats
Pull cover forward

Disconnect battery and or remove
Check for leakage or any issues

Washing & Rinsing
Removing saltwater, sand, and dirt by rinsing will prolong the life of your EMILY.
Rinse water pump inlet and nozzle sections
Rinse nozzle inside and out

Rinse inside of boat thoroughly
Flush water through cooling system (Cooling water exhaust port under hose nozzle)

Install Floatation Cover
Pull Cover over bow
Clip two canvas twist snaps on each side

Starting on the right (star board) side of the boat place the loop on the over the left side of the cleat
Wrap the loop around the cleat in a figure 8 pattern

Warp around until it cannot wrap again. Make sure the red flap is under the cleat
On the left (port) side of the boat, wrap the string around the palm of you hand and lift the boat to tighten the string

Place the red flap under the cleat and wrap the string under and over the cleat a couple times
Make a loop with the long string on the bottom and pull it over the cleat and pull tight. Repeat a few times

Bring the string over to the right side and make a loop with the long string on the bottom and pull tight. Repeat until string is short and out of the way
Install flagpole and spring base mount (Place flagpole in black spring base mount, align holes, slide hairpin cotter pin into the aligned holes to secure the flagpole)

Camera
How to operate
Press and hold the power button on camera Download the FLIRFXapponmobiledeviceand connect to WiFi. For help please visit http://www.flir.com/flirfx/
Press and hold the set up button until it beeps and orange WiFi symbol

In your phones WiFi settings select the connection called FX-camera name.
Go back to FLIR FX app the camera will try to directly connect. Once the camera name shows up click on it.

Once you are ready to record press the yellow recording button on the right and then record now.
When ready to stop recording click the yellow recording circle and select stop recording.

How to charge camera
Remove camera from cover.

Plug Micro USB charging cable in to the camera

Let charge. The Rec. will be red if charging. And turn green when done.

How to operate
Push the port side of the light to cycle through brightness settings. Low -> Medium -> High -> Off

Ground Station Setup
Check for DC power cable, AC power cable, and Comms antenna
Connect the antenna into the Comms port

Press the power button on the ION 10 Humminbird display and allow to initialize.
Place the Sonar EMILY in the water and power on by pulling the mag switch inside the cover.

Check Connection to Ground Station
On the home screen of the ION 10, select: “Settings -> Network -> Network Info”
Ensure that the SM2000 module is listed on the Humminbird network

Configure Sonar System
Under the Settings tab, select:“Sonar -> Sonar Source -> 2D + DI + SI”
Ensure that 2D Sonar, SI Sonar, and DI Sonar are all active. Adjust the 2D and SI Frequency as needed

Displaying Sonar Images
Select the desired sonar pattern. Under “Favorites” on the home screen, Screen 1 is 2D imaging, Screen 2 is a map chart, Screen 3 is Side Imaging (SI), and Screen 4 is Down Imaging (DI)
If desired, a screen with multiple displays can be created. Refer to the Humminbird User Guide for details.

Sonar Post-Op Procedures
Recover the Sonar EMILY and turn off both the sonar system and EMILY drive system
Remove the Sonar EMILY cover from the boat
Rinse the EMILY boat with fresh water and inspect for damage
Remove the sonar paddle from the Sonar EMILY cover and store in a safe place
Rinse the Sonar EMILY cover with fresh water and allow to dry
Charge the batteries inside the cover if necessary

Charging the EMILY Sonar Batteries
Open the Velcro patch on the starboard side.
Plug in the charging cable into the connector.
On the battery charger, set the amperage limit to 2.0A and begin charging the battery pack.
When charging is complete, disconnect the charging cable, replace the cap, and close the Velcro patch.

Ground Station Disassembly
Power off the ION 10 display
Unplug the power cable from its source and stow inside the GS lid
Unplug the Comms antenna and stow inside the GS lid
Secure caps onto all connectors
Close the GS lid
