History of Symbiosis
• Established by Dr. S.B. Mujumdar in 1971
• Began as a Welfare Center for Foreign students studying at Pune
• First Institute was for teaching of English language (again a welfare measure)
• Subsequently SIBM, SLS and other institutes came up
