2. MARCO LAFEBRE CG MINISTRY LEARNING TO PROPHESY. JULY 3, 2014 3. WALKING IN HER FATHERS SHOES 4. HAVE YOU TRIED WALKING IN OTHERS SHOES? Since early childhood we try to emulate our parents. We want to walk in their shoes and its so hard to move on, as first, those shoes are not our size and our walk is still insecure. Have you heard the expression: 'Walk a mile in my shoes ? 5. YOUR FEET UPON HIS, AND HIS HANDS GRABBING YOURS. 6. WALKING ON DADDYS FEET Surely my father have walked me on his feet. I have walk my children and now my grandchildren upon mine as well. God, as good Father that He is, walks us on his feet, He grabs us from our hands and teaches how to walk. Little children like to ride upon their elders feet. 7. A LOOK AT SOME SYMBOLS IN THE BOOK OF EXODUS Lets have a quick view at some biblical pictures through the book of Exodus. Interpretation of symbols can not be taken out of the biblical pictures, they need to remain there to be accurate in their meaning. While giving a meaning in the picture, A SYMBOL could be as well pointing something in a near or distant future. 8. MOSES AT THE BURNING BUSH 9. POSSIBLE MEANINGS 40 = Acceptable or unacceptable ruling. Moses has Humbled the strength of the flesh. Desert = A place where Moses learned. Burning Bush = Deity and humanity of Jesus, power of the Holy Spirit. Moses, Moses = To call attention, informs transition or change is in process. Sandals = Your walking, way or doing your things. Confidence on yourself. 10. REMOVE YOUR SANDALS God was telling Moses remove your sandals, put away your doings and your own strength. This place is Holy, I AM here, its My realm. I know the task that Im giving you is too much for you, but relax and be obedient, I will walk in your shoes! God was teaching Moses to depend upon Him. 11. MOSES STAFF CONVERTED INTO A SNAKE Staff = Support, rest, authority, weapon. Also, resting and relaying on Gods support. Serpent = Sin, enemys plans. Throwing the staff = When not leaning on God, sin comes around. An alert to Moses, he will be facing the power of the enemy. 12. Christ became sin for us. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 13. PICKING UP THE SERPENT Power over the enemy, Mark 16:18 they will pick up serpents with their hands. Satan is not in control, he is under Gods control and God has delegated us authority and power over satan. Psalm 23:4 comfort me 14. AARONS ROD SWALLOWING UP THEIR RODS 15. SATAN IS A COPIER, HE DOESNT CREATE By satans power, Pharaohs priest transform their rods into serpents. Gods power is way above satan's power. The rod of Gods authority, confronts and eats up the rods of Pharaohs authority. Gods is the only real and legal authority, He can give authority to whom ever He likes All other authority is usurped! 16. NUMBERS 21:9, THE BRONZE SERPENT. A serpent points to sin. People were murmuring against Moses, they were in sin and rebelled again against God. As a consequence of their sin God sent some poisonous serpents to bit them up, and many died. This serpents were their manifested sin. 17. There is healing on the tree Commanded by God Moses made a bronze serpent and sets it up in a pole so everyone that is bitten could be saved by looking into this serpent. This serpent was a foreshadow of Jesus. The serpent lifted up and cursed symbolized Jesus. Jesus took all our sins, all our infirmities and diseases and curses upon Him when He was crucified, 18. Galatians 3:13 (NKJV) 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree). John 3:14-15 (NKJV) 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 19. AND WHEN I AM LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH, I WILL DRAW EVERYONE TO MYSELF. JOHN 12:32 20. EXODUS 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Furthermore the LORD said to him, Now put your hand in your bosom. And he put his hand in his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow.7 And He said, Put your hand in your bosom again. So he put his hand in his bosom again, and drew it out of his bosom, and behold, it was restored like his other flesh. 21. Looking the inside Bosom = Our heart, place where emotions come from. Hand into his bosom = looking into hearts intention. Leprous hand = reveals the human nature to sin. Leprosy, sin exposed = exposing our sin to God is the only way in which we can cleanse our hearts. Hand into bosom again= once we expose the condition of our heart to God, He will give us a new heart. Clean hand= reveals our clean interior, heart, emotions, after God has cleansed it. There is nothing in us that is hidden to God! 22. THE 10 PLAGUES OF EGYPT The plagues were ten disasters sent upon Egypt by God to convince Pharaoh to free the Israelite slaves, from the bondage and oppression of 400 years. God sent Moses to deliver the children of Israel from this bondage, He promised He would show His wonders to demonstrate that He has given authority to Moses. 23. Power given to Moses This demonstration of power was for two main purposes: To show the Israelites that the God of their fathers was alive and worthy of their worship and trust; and To show the Egyptians that their gods were nothing. This was a confrontation between the True God against the fake gods of the Egyptians. 24. The 10 Plagues: In every plague, one or more of the Egyptian Gods were mocked, humiliated and put to shame. THE DEATH OF THE FIRSTBORN The pharaoh - man, ruler and god Egyptian society had a social hierarchy, with the pharaoh at the very top. The pharaoh was the political, religious, and economic leader of the Egyptians. 55. Who were affected by these plagues? 1st plague, over all Egypt; Exodus 7:19. 2nd plague, over all Egypt; Exodus 8:5. 3rd plague, over all Egypt; Exodus 8:16-17. 4th plague, Israelite spared; Exodus 8:21-23. 5th plague, Israelite livestock spared; Exodus 9:4-7. 6th plague, on Egyptians men and beast; Exodus 9:10-11 7th plague, Israelite camp spared; Exodus 9:26. 8th plague, Israelite camp spared; Exodus 10:4-6. 9th plague, Israelite camp spared; 10:22-23. 10th plague, Israelites had to obey to have the choice to be spared; Exodus 12:7,12-13. 56. Comparing the Journey through the desert and our walking The land of Egypt = Our walk in the world. The cross of the Red Sea = Our baptism in God. The Cloud and Pillar of Fire = The Holy Ghost. The wilderness, the desert = Our journey through the world towards God. Mount Sinai = Temple of the Lord, His Holy Presence. Boundaries around Mount Sinai = Need of people to get ready before coming into the very presence of the Lord. 57. The waters of Marah 58. Exodus 15:22-24 (NKJV) Bitter Waters Made Sweet 22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 59. And they went three days Number three means conform to The Lord was testing them to see if they have been Conformed to His Image, to His likeness. They failed. The Lord show them that they were physically free but they still were not trusting completely on Him. 60. Exodus 15:23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. Now you define the Symbols: Consider the proposed ideas: Bitter water = Troubles of life? A tree = Points to the cross? Cast it into the waters = The cross of Jesus in your life? Waters were made sweet = The cross in your life brings sweetness to your troubled life? 61. Exodus 15:26 (NKJV) 26 and said, If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you. If you heed the voice of the Lord condition I will put none of the diseases on you Promise Who heals you Revelation of Who He is. 62. Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees . 63. Exodus 15:27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water. Now you define the Symbols: Twelve springs of water. Seventy palm trees. Camp near the water. 64. Consider the following verses: Isaiah 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 55:1 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Psalm 92: 12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. John 12:13 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel. 65. Consider the numbers meaning Number 12 means, Join, unity; and by Implication government. There were 12 tribes, 12 apostles, 12 months, 12 hours in a day, 12 hours in a night. Number 70 means, completely accepted or completely rejected. Jesus uses this number when He spoke to Peter about forgiveness. 66. NEXT WEEK: Putting our eyes on the giver of dreams.
