Synergy is the simultaneous release of different products which benefits both.

Cross media convergence

Cross media convergence is the combining of two or more mediums and can happen at any of the three stages (production, distribution and exhibition).

A yearbook was released at a similar time to the film release, which benefitted both the film and the sales of the yearbook.
