Introduction
● GUI is 90% done, Arduino ~85%○ Still need to figure out how to use the
high level feedback and timing the system
● All parts have been submitted to the machine shop
○ Should be done machining by end of next week at the latest
Meeting with Topic Specialists
Rob/Craig in the Machine Shop
● Helped develop a plan for assembling motor to sprocket to shaft - using sprocket as coupler
● Discussed securing shafts with set screws vs. pins● Submitted parts to be machined
John Bonzo
● Recommended not 3D printing the power supply box
Software Updates
● Added features to the GUI including alternate speed settings and a user controllable position offset to re-zero the motor.
● Motor high level feedback (HLFB) has been implemented and is able to communicate with the GUI over USB.
● GUI now outputs data and timestamps of motor movement commands.

Priority List of Sub-Assemblies
● Bearings - Baseplates● Shafts - Sprockets - Bearings● Belt - Sprockets● Top Baseplate - Bottom Baseplate● Side Walls● Yoke - Clamp - Vert. Angle Mechanism
Power supply
● Enclosure specific to this model # does not exist● Generic “boxes” deemed too expensive ($20+)● Advised against 3D printing enclosure● Bending sheet metal

MSD II Plan
Design Competition Progress
● Eugene H. Fram Chair in Applied Critical Thinking○ Submit by April 15th ○ Progress: Topic chosen, draft written, sent to Susan for review
● Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) Challenge○ Submit by May 31st○ Progress: read through all of the requirements and we don’t meet
them all
User Manual
● A user guide is being worked on in order to easily integrate the user into the hardware and software components of the project
● Tutorials on each piece of required software is present● The finished manual will feature everything the user will need to successfully
operate the device
Paper Updates
● ~2 pages… will need to add a LOT more detail in the coming weeks before the paper review (April 21st)
● Our plan is to send a second rough draft to Susan (April 18th)
● Between now and the 18th each team member is planning on writing an additional page to add to the comprehensiveness of the final paper

Goals of Meeting
● Show completed machined parts and timeline for ones in progress of being machined
● Give demonstration● Get go ahead for allen wrench etc. as well as power supply and angle idea
