As another amazing year closes, I am excited to share with you
some of the highlights of 2014. I am overjoyed at what God has
done through you and your generous support this year. I am
grateful to each of you for sharing your time, talent and treasure
in building His kingdom.
This year will be remembered as the first year of Kidz Dayz, a
summer day camp for the children of Bacliff and San Leon. It was
amazing to be able to spend 24 days encouraging and sharing the
love of Christ with 173 children this summer. It was also the
inaugural year for the Get Together– Bay Area which we were
proud and blessed to part of. The Get Together has been a great
opportunity to engage and partner with some of the finest in our
business community.
Lighthouse Christian Ministries and myself are so grateful for the
staff members and volunteers that God has called and given the
opportunity to share His love everyday through the work they do.
They build relationships and share in the joys and struggles of
those that walk through these doors everyday. Please join me in
praying for them to be equipped with his Love and Grace.
Thank you for being Kingdom Builders with us at LCM.
Warm Regards,
Erika M. Steele

Partner Spotlight: Network Cabling Services The NCS family is dedicated to giving back to their community. For the last several years,
NCS has been a sponsor of LCM’s Annual Celebration; but this year they continued to give
back through the Holiday season. For Thanksgiving, NCS owners Mark and Lori Veltri
teamed up with Lighthouse Christian Ministries (LCM) to make
sure that area families could sit down together and give thanks
over an abundant table of food. NCS employees donated 1000-
plus items and NCS completed the dinner with a gift card for
the turkey to fulfill 93 Blessing Baskets. Their generosity didn’t
end there! Just a few weeks later for Christmas they organized
a toy drive to support LCM’s Greatest Gift Shoppe.

Volunteer Spotlight: Carol Newell In reminiscing about Kidz Dayz, Carol Newell said, “I will never forget one
young girl who told me ‘I have not had one boring day here’ …that really just
says it all.” Carol volunteered to help daily with Kidz Dayz. Serving as a
games coordinator, bus assistant and kitchen crew she truly was a living
example of compassion and service for the children at camp.
Carol is a Bacliff resident and has been both a client and a volunteer with LCM throughout her time
within the community. The camp, Carol explained, “was so well organized that it was amazing at
times…to have so many different projects going on
and the children getting the opportunity to do each
one of them was awesome.”
Kidz Dayz allowed Carol, and numerous
volunteers, an opportunity to let their light shine
in while, in many cases, changing children’s lives
through the sharing of the Word, presence of love
and the outpouring of support.
