CA Manoj abhaya to stand besides CA Manoj Last week, Sri Venkatarathnaiah Setty,-58 (lever transpalntation) the father of CA Manoj who had
visited Abhaya, Hyd after MAA TV program… passed away. Abhaya wish to pay its deep hearted condolences to the family members of CA.Manoj. This is the case which
could not be attended by abhaya due lack of resources as the estimated cost of replacement was about Rs.25 lakhs.
CA.Manoj, seeking support from abhaya visited Hyderabad on 9th January'2011 but, seeing hundreds of helpless and poor people gathered seeking help at abhaya, he was
moved beyond explanation seeing their hopeless condition and very courageously shared his views at the meeting…”when compare to their situation, I am well placed in
the society and self-sustained and confident of facing the challenge by himself for his father's health and if possible I would surely extend all possible support to the poor
through Abhaya in days to come.

Today I visited Videhi Hospital, Bengaluru and met baby's medicines are very

Hi sir, we Dayakar & Sangeeta baby's parents wish to thank abhaya FOUNDATION for the kind financial support, good wishes
and blessings given to my baby. Till now baby has been kept under ventilator support for 5 times and she is facing lung
infection and she was not able to breathe without ventilation and she became very weak as she may have suffered lot of pain
since the time she came out to this world. Dr Dinakar said he will try his best then leave
the rest to god.
Now by the grace of god and good wishes and blessings of people like you, baby is
showing symptoms of improvement and she is accepting good quantity of milk now her
weight increased to 1080gms and Doctor told us that once she is 1500gms then the
ventilator may be removed. Once again we thank abhaya foundation and its members
for the support given to us. We further need your kind support and blessings.

Ashwin kumar, aged 12 years studying 4th class is suffering from TB in brain. Had an operation in the year 2008
which cost about 2 lacs. Right now he is in bed ridden condition and he got some extra bones which need to be
removed by operation for which he needs about 4 to 5lacs. Parents have white ration card but do not have Aarogya
Sri Scheme. Mother is housewife and father is running a tea shop. Presently need 30,000 rupees per month for
treatment.
Solution: Were suggested to see the neuro and ortho doctors at Whitefield hospital in Bangalore and also to meet
Dr. Shoolapaani in vanasthalipuram (Rajyalakshmi hospitals) as soon as possible for further reference.
Rajkamal and kiriti has agreed to volunteer the case.
Mission GaneshMission GaneshAs planned by abhaya Ganesh's left leg has been amputed during the of February'11 at Rajyalakshmi Hospitals with a cost of Rs.1,00,000/-. Dr .Sulapani informed that another leg also to be amputed as early as possible and which would need another Rs.40,000/-. Abhaya met the family members of Ganesh and briefed them about the need. As of now abhaya provided Rs. Around Rs.80,000/- to the Hospital and the family members promised to pool rest of the amount, but this is looking little impossible task for them. On the other hand Ms.Geeta who brought Ganesh to abhaya also trying their best to pool the amounts. Abhaya would be able to proceed further only if someone can help this poor fellow now.

Nagaraju whose condition was critical has been brought to Hyderabad in the first week of February'11 and admitted him in Rajyalakshmi Hospital under care of Dr.Sulapani. He in turn understanding the good work of abhaya expressed his willingness to help this fellow in getting his hips replaced. Considering the replacement cost of Rs. 4,00,000/- and Nagaraju's economic condition Dr. Sulapani waived off Rs. 2,00,000/- straight away. Abhaya decided to pool Rs. 1,00,000/- and remaining amount need to be pooled by Nagaraju's family. But their situation is very poor. As of now following is the update.
nDr. Sulapani admitted him at the Hospital without any charges for the past 30 days.
nHe in turn called the press and briefed them about the condition of Nagaraju
nSakshi & Andhrajyothi carried out news article in their daily news.
nPrasadarao, Teacher from Anantapur District sent Rs.10,000/- for the operation.
nSri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation started providing lunch for Nagaraju.
nSri Chaitanya College, Vanasthalipuram is providing food for him.
nOne un identified caller stating that he wish to donate Rs.30,000/- and asked Dr. Sulapani to send someone with Rs. 700/- to take a DD to the bank. Believing that this would help poor Nagaraju, Doctor sent the compounder with Rs. 1000/- and unidentified man collected Rs. 1000/- and ran away from the bank!

There is a difference in his every inch of body… there is heavenly improvement in his
looks in the last 2 months. He gained lot of strength. He is able to move all his body, sit
for a while, eat on his own, talk and take the decisions. Ms. Mrudula is very positive and
she is confident of seeing Pardhu walking normally sooner than expected.
Pardhu says that “it is only with tremendous confidence gained from abhaya, I am able to
withstand such a challenge in life. I am very fortunate to have my wife Mrudula & son
Satwik to be at my side during such a challenging times in life. I wish to come back to
normalcy within shortest period of time and start helping the people in need along with
abhaya.”
All smiles at Pardhu’s home
A good way to change someone's attitude is to change your own,
because, the same sun that melts butter, also hardens clay! Life is as
we think, so think always positively.
Imam Khasim is suffering from a blood clot in brain. The
treatment is over and the clot got dissolved but his mental
condition is still need to be improved. He lost his past
memories and still need some treatment needed to come to
normal stage. He can't speak and respond to us. The parents
don't even know what to do now and whom to consult. They
sent a mail to abhaya asking for suggestion and help.
Solution: Yet to speak with the family members as we are
not clear about their action plan
Mrudula Pardhasaradhi has spoken with the parents as there
are no details mentioned in the post they sent to abhaya.
Mohanrao, Chhattisgarh with gained confidence went back
home and brought a wheel chair for his son. Entire family is
vibrant with such a small difference to Prashanth. They are
being provided with Rs.2000/- every month to face the
challenge in their home. Mohanrao is now planning to visit
Ayurveda Doctor near Bhadrachalam to understand the
effectiveness of medicine which is being administered as
of now. Once boy gains the strength, the plan is to take
him to Sri Sathya Sai Hospital, Prashanthi Nilayam.

He says: Good Morning… My GOD and my Future!Abhaya is sending Rs.7,500/- PM to meet the medical and other expenditure for the last 6 months. This would continue for some
more time. But if someone wish to be part of this Mission, they may please do something for this man so that abhaya can continue
helping him for long time. At present Rs.2500/- has been arranged by Industrialist Sri Subhasha Chhabria from Bengalure and rest
being taken care by abhaya. He sends an SMS every day to abhaya saying… “Good Morning, My GOD…My Future”

artificial limbsDr.Jeetendra got the amount Rs.45,000/-
transferred from abhaya and started the procuring
the required components alongwith his senior
(coming from Delhi only for this assignment) he is
planning to visit Dharmavaram on 8th March 2011
with final shaped limbs for trail run. (the senior
colleague could reach Bangalore only on 06-03-
2011 for final shaping the limbs). If found
fit/required alteration, Dr. Jeetendra will again visit
on 13-03-2011 for check. In view of the above, we
may plan to visit the Dharmavarm on 13-03-2011.
He had given us extensive cost details, according to
that he is required to procure components worth
Rs.50,000/-. Hence the cost of the project may
come to Rs.75,000/-
She is recovering faster than we
expected at Sweekar Rehabilitation
Center. Her father & mother with lots
of difficulties with a positive attitude

Mission Glroy: Recovering faster
Tulasi Narayana Reddy is now back to Hyderabad for a yearlong Speech Therapy at Apollo Hospitals. This boy
would be given special classes for improving his speech and hearing. This is offered free of cost. The classes are
thrice in a week's time. The question is that either mother/father must be here along with him. They cannot go
back to Jammalamadugu every week and come hear for the classes. They being daily wage agriculture labor at
the village… they do not know what to do.
But very courageously they are selling their only buffalo at the village and father decided to stay at Hyderabad
for one year. They expenditure may be around Rs. 5,000/-PM. There is no other alternative for him except
staying here. Abhaya wish to support him in all the possible ways. They took a small room near Apollo Hospital
with a monthly rent of Rs.3000/- and they may be in need of Rs.2000/- PM.
Mission Tulasireddy: he is all set to talk like us!
With lots of follow up with various people, abhaya along with Raghavendra could pool around
Rs.2,00,000 as of now. He is in need of further Rs. 2,00,000/- enabling the hospital to administer the
life saving injection series for 6 months. Almost all the news papers carried his story in their dailies for
couple of times now. The result is very disappointing. He is suffering from deadly pains all over his
body. Abhaya also trying hard to connect to as many people as possible… this time again abhaya
requesting for best possible help from the likeminded people who can empathize with him and his pain.
Mission Raghavendra: He is eager to pool another Rs.2,00,000/-

Business Man & Educationalist from Kurnool along with his family visited abhaya Vignan School, Yerragunta along with KSV Siva Krishran, Member of School Management Committee on 27th February'11 and installed Godess Saraswathy in the School premises. It was yet another memorable occasion for the entire school, Teaching Staff and the little students.
Sri T.Srinivasarao owns an engineering College at Kurnool and he is the owner of hundreds of transport vehicles apart from couple of other business ventures ... beyond all that, he is a man with love and care, doing lots of good work at his town. Abhaya got connected with him during the transportation of Godess Idle at Kurnool during month of January'11 on road side while trying to understand logistics to lift the Idle to the village at 8 pm.
He and his family felt immensely happy to visit the school and knowing the concept behind establishment. He assured all his support for the school. Listening to the kids chanting Geeta Slokas, songs... he felt very happy and declared that if such progress is being maintained across the year he would be pleased to provide 2 pairs of uniforms to entire school kids and also provide cloths to all the teaching staff. He further informed abhaya to consider providing free lunch for all the kids in the school.
The teaching staff over there in the school hosted the entire program so perfectly and the visitors were very happy visiting the school.

abhaya team visited Sphoorti on 6th February. Siva,
Bhargav, Rajakamal, Nitya, Lakshminarayana spared
their week end to spend time with hundreds of kids at
Sphoorti. It was really a great time with the kids.
Abhaya made the kids to play, sing, listen etc., during 4
hours session. There after abhaya taught them about
concepts of Health and Hygiene (Cutting nails,
Combing the hair, Washing the hands, Brushing the
teeth, Bathing etc.,) The happiness of the kids cannot
be explained in words. Abhaya distributed fruits and
gifts to the inmates of the Sphoorti. Thereafter
felicitated the Founder Srivyal for doing such good
work.
It was indeed inspiring to hear words of appreciation to invite your team members to visit Sphoorti
from people like you. We are fortunate to know about Foundation premises on a Sunday and interact with
Abhaya Foundation through MAA TV's Velugu our children. It will be an occasion to exchange views
Veliginchu. on various activities that Abhaya and Sphoorti are

abhaya celebrated Deeksha's Birthday
Things are not bettered, but we are bettered by making changes in
them… In the process of helping someone in need… we help to
transform our self.
Dr.Pradeep Kumar IRS, childhood friend of Founder connected back after a
gap of nearly 30 years. He is married to Dr.Vijaya and blessed with 2 kids
Deeksha & Prahas. All of them were happy to connect to abhaya and its good
work. Deeksha thought it in her heart that she should celebrate her birthday
with abhaya. As per their desire, abhaya visited their home and played with
all the kids and made them to understand the significance of celebrating
birthday. Pradeep IRS is now thinking to connect few of his high profile friends
and pals to community work. Abhaya is in touch with him. Hoping to have
likeminded people in its Mission to serve with HEART.
“ H E A RT ” Rural Infra Update
Jagannath & Manohar started Aathma Viswasam General Stores
Konda Durgaiah father of paralyzed Jagannath (32) & Manohar (28) inaugurated “Aathma Viswasam General Stores” at
Ramakapet, Dubbaka Mandal, Medak District of AP. Sri Subramanyam, an inspired abhayan took time to visit the village
during the month of February'11 and assessed situation personally and interacted with family members and friends of
Durgaiah. Everyone was of the opinion that if we start a general stores at the village it would fetch regular income for the
family.
Thereafter abhaya volunteer Srikanth along with his friend Uma Shankar visited again to see and understand their
readiness to start the stores. Abhaya decided to provide all the possible financial assistance to the family. It has been
estimated to invest about Rs.25,000/- for the Mission. abhaya named this store as “Aathma Viswasam General Stores”.
This gesture of abhaya created tremendous confidence in entire family. The inauguration on 27th of February'11 been
done in the presence of their family, relatives, well wishers, village kids.
Sri Subramanyam garu came forward to take care of entire execution of
the project. He in memory of his late parents provided Rs.25,000/- for

Eenadu etc.,) covered this news of providing the long term solution for the

Smt. Sailaj who lost her husband in a road accident when she was carrying a child in her womb in the year
2000. Since then she was struggling to progress in life with 2 girl kids. As there was none at her husband's
side, she stayed back with her aged parents. In total there were about 6 people in the family in a remote
village in Krishna district. Sailaja and her sister who is yet to marry both of them are running tutions in the
village for the last 5 years and they get hardly about Rs.6000/- PM. The school going kids became burden
for them to take care. Abhayan Smt & Sri Eswarrao knowing about their difficulty brought them to abhaya.
They are thoroughly counseled and suggested to come out with income generating idea for life time so
that abhaya can pool some resources for their well being. While sending them off from Hyderabad, abhaya
provided immediate financial assistance of Rs.3000/- for them with an assurance that we would be with
them. Abhaya yet to hear from them about their options for progress.

40 blankets have been distributed to the poor
people in the Yellal Old Age Home in a nearby
village from Proddatur, Cuddapah Dist. The
inmates of the home were very happy receiving
good quality blankets.
The blankets they were using in a bad condition,
the only thing is that we should have been
distributed them during the winter season as it
could have helped them to protect from winter.
However all the people blessed us for the great
help we had rendered, all this credit goes to the
Abhaya Foundation. We feel very happy for the
great oppourtunity given to us, we thank you
Abhaya Foundation!!

end of the season distributionSuresh from Nalgonda, physically handicapped from childhood from a poor background has pursued B.Sc. (MLT) course, but as the work involves moving from one place to another, he wants to do a course cum training on MT (Medical Transcription). This course may take 3 or 4 months. There is an institute, in Ameerpet, which can give this training, which will cost around 5-8K. So need help for his hostel, course fee, a tri wheeler vehicle for him.
Both parents are doing labor work. Two sisters, elder one is pursuing intermediate and the younger one is pursuing 8th class.
Solution: asked him to enquire further about the course and job culture. We will do the same from our side as well. He needs to come up with his plan of action.

Seems to lack self confidence. Mrudula madam accompanied them along with her son Saatwik (mission paardhu).
Solution: To be given the accounting work at abhaya with a salary as a part of infusing self confidence in her so she will attain a job for herself.
She just joined abhaya to work.
Ms. TK Sasi, (C/o. T.K.Narasimham, Plot No:52/3, Saraswati Nagar Colony, Lothugunta, Alwal (On the way to
Bollaram) otherwise able lady and is running a phone booth. Presently very ill and unable to run the business. Needs
suggestion and help to start a home based business activity. She is unmarried and is to be supported by both her sisters
in the work.
Solution: Were suggested to get a project report within a week with all specific details regarding the type of business,
area of work, investment, capital details etc. Anusha jaladi has agreed to volunteer the case.

Hariprasad, President initiated Mission to pool Rs.50,000/- from family and friends and following are the well wishers joined
hands along with him in performing sacred act.
