This handy technique is best worked on two double-pointed needles. Cast on the number of stitches instructed in your pattern and knit the first row, but do not turn your work at the end. Instead, keep the right side facing you and slide

the stitches to the opposite end of the double-pointed needle. Your yarn will now be coming from the left-hand

side of your stitches. Pull the yarn tightly across the back of the work and knit the same stitches again. Keep

doing this until your cord is the correct length.
