9 Elementary procedures of mobility management

The tests are based on TS 24.008.

In this clause, when the expected sequence require that "a mobile originated ! connection is attempted", it shall beor a ser#ice other than emergenc$ call.

In this clause, a initial ! message is either a S%T&' message, a (%)IST%( message or a '*+T message -inthat case the acnowledged mode o operation on S'I / will ha#e be established and this message will be sent onS'I /.

9.1 TMSI reallocation

The intention o the T!SI (eallocation procedure is to assign a new temporar$ identit$ or the &%. I the message isnot understood b$ the &%, the networ could not establish a lin to the &%. s this is a common !! procedure, it canbe initiated at an$ time.

9.1.1 Conformance requirement

1 &ser %quipment shall acnowledge a new T!SI when explicitl$ allocated during a location updatingprocedure or an incoming call.

2 The T!SI shall be updated on the SI! when the &ser %quipment is correctl$ deacti#ated in accordance withthe manuacturers instructions.

/ &ser %quipment shall answer paging with this T!SI and includes it in the 'aging (esponse message.
