Phantomatic: each one has its own
One range, many solutions. Phantomatic is the range of CNC machining centres for aluminium, light alloy, PVC and steel profiles with up to 3 mm thickness (according to the models).It offers many options and configurations to meet every specific requirement.Available in the 3 or 4-axes CNC version and 4300 mm X-axis stroke. The 4-axis version is also available with a 7700 mm X-axis stroke.

The winning combinations
Phantomatic offers various constructive solutions to adapt to the various operational requirements.In the X4 and X6 models, thanks to the 4th CNC axis, the electrospindle rotates continuously from 0° to 180° to operate along the entire contour of the workpiece. The T3 S and T3 Star models have a rotary work-table, which allows machining the profiles with angles ranging between -90° and +90°, keeping the spindle always in vertical position, thereby ensuring maximum power and precision. The 3-axes models, T3 and T3 A, allow machining the 5 sides of the profile thanks to the use of high rotational speed angular units.

Power and agility
Phantomatic can be equipped with electrospindles with high torque power ranging between 5.5 and 7.5 kW in S1 in order to carry out heavy-duty processing. The double tank lubrication system allows using both minimal oil quantity and oil emulsion micro-mist. Therefore, you can choose the best suited system according to the type of material and processing. As an option, the spindle can be set for rigid tapping and Flow-Drill® (T versions).

Intelligent clamps
Phantomatic always opts for the best grip. The position of every clamp unit is calculated by a software according to the operations to be carried out on the profile so as not to interfere with the processing clearance. The units are moved quickly and without any margin of error. The X6 HP version is an exception since it has two additional axes that position the clamps separately from the trolley while the machine is running. T3, T3 A, X4 and X6 models have a translation movement along the Y-axis of the clamp unit, which allows processing the sides even of important profile sections, despite the clearance of the angular unit i.e., the rotated spindle.
Left and right
To ensure correct positioning of the workpieces, Phantomatic is equipped with recessed profile reference end stops. One on the left and one on the right (optional in T3 models), selected automatically. The presence of two end stops allows processing 2 profiles simultaneously, operating in multipiece mode or oversized bars with a single programming by repositioning the workpiece on the second end stop.

Versatile tool storage unit
The Phantomatic 4 or 8-slot tool storage unit boasts an exclusive round design that reduces the overall dimensions and increases tool change speed. The covering protects the tool storage unit from swarf and accidental knocks. Besides the standard tools, the tool storage unit can also be equipped with 2 angular units and a milling disc for machining all the sides of the profile.The Phantomatic X6 8-slot tool storage unit is located on the trolley solidly connected to the electrospindle. This solution allows for a drastic reduction of tool change times, thereby making them always available exactly where they are needed.

Interface under control
The Phantomatic range operator interface is equipped with a 15” suspended monitor that can be oriented according to requirements. The touch-screen display and a user-friendly software make the interface particularly simple and intuitive. The control is integrated with the mouse, keyboard and front USB port for external memory connection. The CNC can also be set to be equipped with a barcode reader and an MG PILOT pushbutton panel that optimises the management of manual functions.

Phantomatic X6 is available in 3 versions: X6 M, X6, X6 HP. All versions can operate in single-piece and multipiece mode on a single machining area of up to 7.7 m length.The X6 and X6 HP models also allow machining in pendular mode on two independent machining areas. The HP version allows operating in dynamic pendular mode thanks to two independent clamp positioners, controlled by two additional axes, which position the clamps while the machine is running. The positioners are equipped with a workpiece reference end stop, which allows positioning several profiles in each machining area.

Measure your profile
Phantomatic X6 is equipped with a profile length measuring system. A moving plate located on the right hand side of the trolley allows the machine to electronically verify the true length of the profile to be machined. Once the workpiece has been adjusted with reference to the left and right end stops, the system electronically imports the data and the CNC automatically corrects any errors due to manual insertions.

Close at hand
MG Pilot is the pushbutton panel of the Phantomatic range, equipped with LCD graphic display that allows to have all the machine functions close at hand. The display shows all the manual operations that are validated through the pushbutton panel; this way, the operator does not have to place himself at the CNC on board the machine. MG Pilot is particularly useful in Pendular mode.
