WHO ARE WE AGAIN?

what’s the cause?KINDNESS:Kindness is the quality of of being friendly, generous, and considerate, and we Australians are a pretty friendly bunch, which is why we got 2nd place in the Forbes friendliest countries list, but we think we can do better, especially when we have a bit of a reputation for being rude and racist.

We’re going to be talking to Aussies between the ages of 18 & 65 of all sexes, who live in all areas of the country about shifting their thoughts from “Life is hard, work sucks and most people are assholes.” to “I’m having a shitty day, but I’ll feel better if I help Barbra out”.

WHY?Well once we picked up our jaws after finding out we spend 30% of our lives at work and about half of us hate our jobs, we realised kindness was the answer. Our logic is that maybe if you do help Barbra out, maybe your boss will see and stop picking on you. If not, at least you might live a bit longer.

WHERE:Local parks, beaches and community venues

WHAT:The purpose of the event is to encourage friendliness towards all members of the community, with everybody bringing plates of food and volunteers providing a sausage sizzle. This completely free event is designed to change attitudes of the general public towards being friendlier to one another, even if it is just for one day.
