R and U1 check all 10 players. U1 raises chop arm to indicate to the R that the contest can begin. Verify jumpers are facing correct direction. R blows whistle and steps in for jump ball. 10

U1 checks with clock operator and scorekeeper to verify they are ready to begin the contest.
