The following technical note reflects the extremely fast I/O scan rates you can achieve using a high performanceSST Profibus DP Master on Profibus at 12 Mbaud. Three different I/O configurations were used for measuring thescan times: 600, 2000, and 6000 discrete I/O points. The resulting I/O scan times are listed in the chart below.
All scan times were measured using the SST Profibusnetwork capture software. Network messages were
captured to disk with a time stamp.
