SUMMARY
Currently I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Nairobi where I teach and conduct
research and outreach programs in Horticulture and Agriculture related and Gender Courses. I
also Head the Crop Science Section of the Department of Plant Science and Crop Protection and
hold several other positions such as the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences Grants
Proposal Writing Coordinator, College Rep and Lead Researcher at the African Women
Studies Centre among others. In addition, I am an External Examiner of the Department of
Horticulture, Jomo Kenyatta University College of Agriculture and Technology. Nationally, I am
currently a Council Member in Embu University College; Mentor, African Women in
Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD); Consultant Trainer, USAID’s “Feed The
Future Program” with Africa Lead and ASARECA; Program Coordinator with the Kenya
Professional Association for Women in Agriculture and Environment; Vice Chairman, Action
Aid International Kenya and Deacon and Church Secretary, Christ Is The Answer Ministries
(Formerly Nairobi Pentecostal Church). I am a member of several professional bodies such as the
African Crop Science Society, Horticultural Association of Kenya, Kenya Professional
Association of Women in Agriculture and Environment, the Agricultural Society of Kenya and
Institute of Directors.
I am a highly motivated, self-driven, results-focused person who is passionate about economic,
social and spiritual and societal transformation of individuals, persons, Country and the
African Continent.
