Minimum Entry Requirements - Communication

WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE maximum 29 points (100 POINTS maximum)

Being strategic for TAFE

Complete Year 12 Do well in your English subject Do well in your Maths subject Finish any TAFE certificates you are doing Get as many A grades as you can Have some work place experience Have documents to prove everything Think about mid-year intakes in Year 11 and

12(TAFE indicate that mid-year is about 10 times easier)

Associate Degree in Business or Information Technology.– Two Years at Polytechnic West– One extra year conversion at University to

full degree – (Bus at Murdoch or Curtin/ IT at Murdoch)

– Entry requirement – Achievement of a WACE Certificate.

Semester 1 2013 - Applying to study full-time at TAFE in Semester 1 2012 couldn't be easier.

See the key dates below. Monday, 3rd September 2012 Applications open. First round Friday, 19th October 2012 Closing date for TAFE applications requiring submission of a folio.

Friday, 7th December 2012 Closing date for all other TAFE applications. A non-refundable

application fee is payable after this date. Applications received after this date will not be considered for First

Round Offers.

Important Dates

Friday 19th October 2012 Closing date for changes of

Preferences ,including adding preferences, for all courses including a portfolio.

Friday 7th December 2012 Closing date for changes of

Preferences ,including adding preferences, for all courses not including portfolio courses.

Friday 6th January 2013 Closing date for change of order of preferences,

cancelling preferences or change of campus.

Important Dates

Thursday 10th January 2013 1st Round Offers issued (where instant offers

have not been made). Tuesday 22nd January 2013 2nd Round Offers issued. Where an offer is not made applicants can

make safety net/standby applications directly to the campus at which they would like to study.
