ManagementKnow is designed to identify and facilitate demonstrable improvements towards management excellence.

Developed by Cognisco Know and in partnership with CMI, the diagnostic assessment tool boasts a series of Situational Judgement Test (SJT) questions, which comprehensively identify areas of management capability.

By establishing a cycle of assessment and re-assessment, the tool allows you to highlight overall improvements and identify current areas of best practice. ManagementKnow also has the ability to identify areas of weakness allowing you to improve organisation standards and behaviour through targetted training and coaching development.

The programme has been aligned to the National Occupational Standards for Management and Leadership (NOS), drawing on CMI’s comprehensive knowledge base of good management practice.

During the assessment process managers will be asked to make a judgement about their actions in a variety of situtions, also asking them to assess their level of confidence in their own response.

ManagementKnow will offer valuable insight into the likelihood of good practice in a variety of situations. An example being that some managers may recognise best practice concepts in isolation but may not always apply them appropriately or with confidence in varying situations.

WHAT IS MANAGEMENTKNOW?

Upon completion of the analysis, your organisation will be provided with a series of reports, which include:

• Statistical summary of all results, including completed assessments and useage reports (detailing participants status of completion.

• A full organisational report, giving a high level view of group averages across all topics.

• A management report for each assessment taken, including participant results.

• Data summary of the assessment results and any recommendations.

• An individual report for each employee who has participated in the full programme.

• Bespoke reporting and analysis requirements can be discussed during consultation.

Assessment cycle opens.

Individual usernames and passwords are emailed to participants.

Assessments are undertaken by participants online.

Cycle closes.

Results analysis.

Results are presented back to participating organisations.

8A ManagementKnow programme can be set up for any number of participants at an agreed time, participants will then have two weeks to complete the assessment. Participants receive email confirmation of their confidential log in details and simply complete a user registration template before the programme commences.

There is no time limit for participants to complete the assessment (average completion is around 40 minutes). It is recommend participants undertake the assessment in a quiet area.
