2. Veneer Training Centre (VTC)
• PartnersWoodsland, ACIAR, FSIV, GIZ/GFA
• Goal- A new training centre for use of veneer in furniture production is established and operational. - The competitiveness of Woodsland and other involved companies of ACIAR veneer project are strengthened by the training of skilled workers and middle management in the manufacture, use and quality control of veneer for furniture or structural elements production.
• Public Private Partnership (PPP) Approach Business and development policy have a common interest in structuring political, legal and social framework conditions which promote development. Under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) concept, private-sector companies and public-sector development cooperation work hand in hand. The target-oriented combination of the different strengths of the two partners creates new possibilities for positive development

2. Veneer Training Centre (VTC)
Result 1: The infrastructure of the centre with equipment and qualified personal is established
Result 2: The legal status of VTC is recognized as a training entity
Result 3: The centre offers a training and development programme according to the needs of the wood processing sector
Result 4: The technology transfer of the VTC improves the quality and quantity of veneer products

• Prize01 best product of each group (accessories and furniture) will be selected for a 1-week training to Australia ( RMIT Melbourne)

• Identification of bottlenecks and feasible solutions through project interventions
• Step wise approach by small impacts to create a relation of confidence with the enterprises
