Meeting Goals:Explore how the needs of gifted and high-ability learners are met in Middle School.

Experience snapshots of gifted curriculum and resources and how we are integrating them into instruction at Jay M. Robinson Middle School.

Review the Differentiated Education Plan for 6th-8th graders.

Academic Facilitator Responsibilities

● Provides professional development for staff on instructional best practices

● Models best teaching practices ● Plans with grade level teams to ensure

instruction is rigorous for all students● Instructs staff on using curriculum provided by

the Advanced Studies Department to address the needs of gifted & high ability students

Our Learning Environment

Here at Jay M. Robinson we feel that it is important to enrich all of our students based on their academic, social and emotional needs. Teachers and students together establish Classroom NORMS which creates an authentic and productive learning environment. NORMS result in teachers planning engaging and rigorous lessons and students who hold themselves responsible and accountable for their learning. Teachers and students are valued for what they bring to the classroom each day.

Performance Review

Performance Reviews are required for all TD certified students in
