The King of Kings - Maurice Dyson
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever, Amen (Matthew 6:13)
O, sing unto the Lord;
Exalt His Name with praise;
Let all the people worship Him
Who reigns through endless days.
His deeds are marvellous;
Declared for all to see;
His right hand and his holy arm
Hath won the victory.
Salvation is declared;
The Lord hath made it known;
His righteousness is clearly seen
And manifestly shown.
Yet mindful of His love,
And long time faithfulness,
Towards the house of Israel
Whom He has sworn to bless.
He comes to judge the earth,
With truth and equity;
And all the people shall behold
His glorious majesty.
Give out a joyful sound;
Sing with a cheerful voice;
Sing praises to the Lord, the King;
Let all the earth rejoice.

. . . that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. —Romans 12:2
God has a plan for the life of every Christian. Every circumstance, every turn of destiny, is for your good. It is working together for completeness. His plan for you is being perfected. All things working together for your good and for His glory. So many of us ask God to change the circumstances to suit our desires, instead of us conforming our wills to His. Don’t let circumstances distress you. Rather, look for the will of God for your life to be revealed in and through those circumstances.
Combined worship at Traralgon Sunday 29 March Our District Congregational meeting to be held after the Sunday worship. In this meeting, we will receive the District Annual reports, the 2020 Budget, our direction for Church Mission and the election of Elders who are renominating or new Elders. Please take time to consider if you would serve as an Elder and /or Church Councillor. Please talk to any of the Church Councillors if you'd like further information on the role of an Elder.
Mission Plan in Acon: Community Garden
Menon “community garden” and different images can spring to
mind. Ask why the church should run one, and a number of good reason
can be raised. As a way of engaging with our local community, a
community food garden can also provide ready access to affordable, good quality, fresh food; offer a
community gathering space; and help deliver the many health benefits linked to gardening.
A while ago, we received an offer of a couple of wicking beds for growing vegetables, and this has prompted
some discussion on this topic of the church hosng a community garden. You have probably heard rumours
of this.
To help explore the opportunity to establish a community food garden, we are keen to hear from anyone
who would like to join a steering commi'ee to work through the early stages and help clarify the objecves
in undertaking this enterprise and funconal and support structures required. Please see Sue Scarle', Tony
Boulton or Simon Trebilcock.
BIG STUDIO MOVIES
Church Council is supportive of the showing of movies, for which we already hold a licence (subject to certain conditions), to our members on a regular basis.
Your help in introducing this "outreach" on a regular basis would be appreciated and it is desired to form an ad hoc Steering Committee to further this aim.
Please express your interest by contacting Tony Boulton so that a date for a first meeting may be determined.
Available films include many faith based films as well as, and in particular, secular films from which faith related messages may be drawn in discussion (and perhaps sustenance ?) following the movie perhaps. Thank you, Tony Boulton
HAVE A LOOK
I would like to encourage all members, who have access to a computer, to go to stableone.org and read about a program run by the churches in Lilydale. There is even a short video to watch. Bev Palmer
Winter appeal
It's time to start knitting for our Winter Appeal again. Each year we manage to collect a lot of items for people in our area who are in need during the cold winter months. Your generosity is always much appreciated.
