Announcements & Reports:
Committee Reports:
Sunshine: We were told that Jack Hanbury and Don Pumphrey had medical procedures and that Bill
O’Rourke was doing OK. Need to continue lifting them and the entire club in prayers. Everyone has issues
with the COVID 19 epidemic
Treasurer's Report: N/A
Tour Committee: Planning is expected to begin when/if regular meetings resume as scheduled in January,
2021.
Show Committee: See New Business
Other Committees: None
Coming Events:
October 3, 2020 – Celebration Baptist Church “Virtual” Car Show. Registration limited to 200
cars. Need to register by September 24th; google “Celebration Baptist Car Show” or call
Doug Bedgood at 850 328 0025.
And Our Usual: There are no “usual” events for the duration!
Old Business: Jack Hanbury reported on the scholarship status for Lively. Two candidates have been selected. Discussion was held as to the de-
sire to continue the program. It was decided to continue on a year to year basis.
More Old Business: Don Romaine reminded everyone that he and Chantel have Car Club clothing items available. Just let him know what you
need.
New Business: The following items were extensively discussed and decided:
1. The Club and the Universal Collision Body Shop will host a “Cars & Coffee” gathering on the second Saturday morning of each month 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM beginning on October 10th. at 2345 Apalachee Parkway. In conjunction with this, TRAACA will hold a short Club Meeting during each
gathering. This will only be for the interim until our regular meetings can continue on the second Tuesdays of the month.
It is hoped that this will result in expanded exposure for the Club and recruiting new members.
2. Discussed the need to begin the process of selecting Club Officers and Board members. Don Romaine will put an announcement in the next
Newsletter so campaigning can begin! Get your yard signs ready.
3. To continue the emphasis on recruiting new members, Don Romaine and Brian Cotter (joining new member) will look into maybe getting on
Facebook and Instagram.
4. As reported on E-Mails from Don, the National AACA is encouraging us to apply to host a National Show. After much discussion it was decided to formally apply for hosting a show on March 11, 2023. Part of the thought was to get the date and start serious discussions when the regular meetings resume. It was thought that backing out would be an option if member’s participation is lacking. Neal Davis volunteered (temporarily he
thinks) to be Show Chairman.
5. Jack Hanbury announced that he was looking for someone who may be interested in becoming a certified vehicle appraiser. He has been doing
this for many years and wants to slow down. Contact him at 850 539 5992.
Program: None, the above was enough.
Next Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Universal Collision Body Shop at 9:00 AM.

Good Morning! Do you need a break from all the isolation due to the pandemic? Are you look-ing for a great day-trip outing for your car club where you can still be safe and social distance? The Tallahassee Automobile Museum would be a great place to visit! Check us out at www.TACM.COM. Our 100,000 sf. museum houses 167 automobiles and more than 200 collec-tions of things that are not cars! The majority of our automobiles are American-made; but we also have great foreign representations of Mercedes, Volkswagen Beetles, Carmen Ghia, Rolls Royce, and an Amphicar. We have classic cars, muscle cars, concept cars and trucks which range in manufactur-ing from 1892 - 2018. Our eclectic collections include antique boats and motors, children's pedal cars, Case knives, die-cast toys, dolls of every kind (including an extensive Barbie collection), firearms, law enforcement badges, brass cash registers and fans, golf clubs and balls, baseball cards, photos and sports memorabilia, Native American artifacts, pocket watches, and (according to Steinway) the finest pri-vate collection of Steinway grand pianos in the world and much, much more! We're open 7 days per week and easily accessed off of Interstate 10 or the sce-nic U.S. 90. To schedule a tour is as easy as making a phone call! Kk & Chuck decided I needed an airing out. They departed from our home
in NE Tallahassee and drove to Thomasville, Ga. Our
first stop was the farmers market where KK loaded up with fruits & veggies.
Then on to Flowers Bakery where both of them loaded up with sweets, in-
cluding one of Chucks favorites, moon pies. Lastly chicken at Church’s
Chicken (sorry Mr. Chick). Then back home where they ate the entire con-
tents of the chicken box.
