History

• Tallinn Law School was established 1 July 2009 within the Faculty of Social Sciences of Tallinn University of Technology

• Tallinn Law School keeps the traditions of its predecessor, the Law School of International University Audentes (Concordia International University Estonia)

Mission and Vision

• Our mission is to be the most international legal education and research institution in the region.

• Vision:

• to become a regional centre of excellence in research and studies in EU, international and comparative law

• to become the biggest provider of academic and continuing legal education in Tallinn.

• More than 600 students, out of which ca 20% (ca 120) studies in English.

• growing number of students

• 1 Bachelor and 2 Master programs

• 2 specialisations in Bachelor and 4 in Master level

Dr Katrin Nyman Metcalf

• Professor of comparative law

• International legal expert, who was born in Sweden, but has Estonian roots.

• Has been involved in EU law and telecommunication projects in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Georgia.

• Teaches EU law etc

• Retired judge from Montana, USA

• Teaches international commercial law, WTO, etc

• Has worked for the Law School for more than 10 years.

• Teaches international law
