Camp Maas is a world leader in overnight camping experiences. A hidden gem in Ortonville, Michigan, the camp is surrounded by acres of woods, private lakes, nature trails and wonderful facilities.

Camp Maas is uniquely suited for children and teens entering 2nd through 12th grades. Every aspect of camp—from specialized programming to our highly trained staff—is designed to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment. Campers enjoy ongoing adventures while simultaneously gaining a true appreciation of the outdoors, group experiences and development of individual skills—all in the context of a Jewish setting. Camp is a warm, caring community—a home that challenges campers to grow in new and different ways every day.

Wilderness adventure, leadership training, and bold new experiences—all in a Jewish setting— are the essence of Tamarack Camps’ Teen Programs. Whether you are living at one of the Outpost Camps, Agree (in northern Ontario), Camp Kennedy (in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula), or traveling by bus on our Western or Alaska Trips, you will be immersed in the beauty of the outdoors, creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime.

Live the true meaning of teamwork and community

Family camps

A great way for families to enjoy a Shabbat weekend! Our friendly and experienced staff offer a wonderful retreat from the everyday— a combination of relaxation and activities such as arts and crafts, sports, and a campfire with s’mores—just to name a few.

One of our most popular programs is Bubbie Zaydie Family Camp, where grandparents and grandchildren create special memories together, with no parents allowed!

Camp’s Jewish traditions are celebrated by our strong sense of ruach (spirit)! Our rich Jewish culture is enhanced by Shabbat, Havdalah, song sessions, blessings at meals, kosher food, and a meaningful Israeli presence.
