From the whole world view down to our neighborhood, it is without a
doubt trying times. In addition, it is not clear how it will all end.
The first order of business is our Annual Spring General Meeting. While our by‐
laws mandate that our Spring General Meeting be held in April, we will need to
postpone the meeting. Our Board of Directors agree, and our lawyers advise us to
postpone the meeting. We are hoping to conduct the meeting within the first 30
days after the stay‐at‐home and social distancing requirements have been lifted.
On the other hand, no one really knows when these requirements will end. I
am going to research options to conduct an interactive
communications meeting that can satisfy the requirements of
our by‐laws.
We still have an opening on our HOA Board of Directors. If
you are interested in joining the board or have questions
concerning the board membership, let me know.
The Route 59 entranceway lighting saga continues and
COVID‐19 is not helping. The golf course’s repair plans for half
of their parking lot electrical service are still unknown. If this
situation continues, we will have to consider installing our
own electrical service.
As a reminder, if you are a new homeowner, we would
appreciate it if you provide us with your contact information.
Our website has an “Update Contact Information” function
under the following section
https://tamarackfairways.org/communications/. We also
have a limited number of TFHOA directories. If you need a
directory, put that request in the “Comments” section of the
update.
This newsletter and our website contain the contact
information for the members of your board. Please feel free
to contact any of the board members with your ideas, issues
and concerns. Copies of recent newsletters, general meeting
minutes and notices of future events can be found on our
website at tamarackfairways.org. Stay Safe.

Code Enforcement NewsMarcia McKee | Code Enforcement Committee
So, there’s a chance to leave the isolation inside the house and get
outside while still keeping your proper distance from the rest of
society. Here are a few suggestions on what you can do outside
while stuck at home during the Coronavirus pandemic:
MOW THE LAWNThe COVID‐19 outbreak does not stop the grass from growing. And just
because there are fewer people walking around, it does not mean the lawn
should be left unkempt.
POWER WASH THE DECK OR PATIOAlong a similar vein to mowing the lawn, keeping the deck or patio clean is
important even if you won’t have people over during the pandemic. Plus, it’s
rewarding to have a nice‐looking area. So, get a power washer and go to
town (well, not literally ‐‐ please stay inside).
START A GARDENImprove the gloomy Coronavirus vibe by sprouting life in the yard. Get your
pots, seeds, soil, watering can, gardening tool set, raised garden bed, plant
food and anything else you need, and watch your garden flourish.
GRILL FOODWith the deck clean, lawn trimmed and garden sprouted, that barbecue is
ready to go. Whether it’s a classic gas grill, basic charcoal grill or even a
smoker, you want those burgers, brats, steaks and veggies as fresh as
possible.
WORK OUTGyms are closed, and it’s sometimes difficult to get that exercise in from
home. Grab some free weights, such as dumbbells, head on outside, turn on
some music and start working out. Or there are many free exercise videos
on the internet!
SET UP OUTDOOR FURNITUREChange up the look of your outdoor spot, or give yourself an area to relax.
Get some lounge chairs. Make it an area to bring friends and family, and a
good place to sit down and read a book.
BUILD A SWING SETWith many playgrounds closed, kids have one less place to exert energy. Fix
that by building a swing set in the backyard.
RAKE LEAVESOnce the lawn is cut, make sure you rake the leaves off of it, too. You can
find a rake virtually anywhere. Plus, it will kill quite a bit of time.
BUILD A DOGHOUSEGive your dog somewhere to sit around other than the living room couch.
Thank you... Stay healthy and safe!

The 2020 Census
Every 10 years, the
United States aims to
counts everyone who
lives in the country. It is
important for everyone to
respond to the 2020 Census
because the results will help
determine how hundreds of
billions of dollars in federal funding flow into
communities every year for the next decade. That
funding shapes many different aspects of every
community, no matter the size, no matter the
location.
What does this mean for our community? Accurate census information is important and
benefits our community the most when everyone is
counted. Census results influence highway planning,
construction and public transportation, how money
is allocated for your local schools, programs to
support rural areas, to prevent child abuse, to restore
wildlife, to prepare for wildfires, provide housing
assistance for older adults and so much more.
Census mailings/notices will be sent out by the
US Census Bureau starting in March. Please look for
the 2020 Census form in your mailbox and be sure to
fill it out and submit your information.
