• Program Focus– Available for Iowa companies who are upgrading their Iowa

employees through additional training

• Cost to Business– No more than already being spent– Must provide 25% of training program cost as ‘cash match’

• Funding Limit– Project awards limited to $25,000 per business site– Maximum $50,000 over three-year period

• Guidelines– Provides state-funded forgivable loans or grants to Iowa

businesses training existing employees– Loan is forgivable if business completes its training

program and trains specified number of employees

• Qualifications– Must be engaged in interstate or intrastate commerce for

the purpose of manufacturing, processing, assembling products, or conducting research & development

– Provide services in interstate commerce
