As one of our research methods we decided to create an online survey and promote it through our personal social media sites and our blogs. So far we have had 22 responses to our survey, here are the ages of the people that have taken it. Horror Thriller was voted the most with 10 votes (45.45%) therefore taking first place as the most enjoyable thriller sub-genre. Our Genre, Psychological Thriller came joint second with 9 votes (40.91%). We are pleased by this as our target audience has shown an interest in our sub-genre.

Sound gained the most votes of 6 (27.27%), therefore from this survey question we have learnt that our target audience believes that sound builds tension most effectively in a short amount of time which is what we want to try and do in our opening sequence. This now means that we can put extra focus on our sound effects and music when editing our sequence to ensure tension is built up effectively for our target audience.
