band.

Who is he?Joe Potter is a singer-songwriter from Norwich. His main influences are Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and many more Folk

musicians and Political influenced musicians. He was brought up by his parents who had a passion for music

and band’s such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, as well as punk rock such as Sex Pistols, The

Ramones, etc …As a child and a young teenager he played in a variety of

different bands from Alternative to Punk. His band, was called Natural Disasters. It was the most successful out of

all the others. At the age of 13 he played at The Norwich Art Centre.

Natural Disasters won many competitions and was also the band in which they recorded their First and Only EP called

“Three Secret Lives”.Unfortunately Natural Disasters parted in 2006 due to

different musical opinions.

What Genre Of music does he play?

Joe Potter is a singer-songwriter and his speciality would be the genre of folk.

He sings about life, love and politics in his music and has had a small amount of success, especially for a young

folk singer-songwriter. He has been playing on Radio Norwich, with his first song called Shout to the Mountains, Which was one of

his first true folk influenced songs.

Where does he play?Joe Potter mainly plays in the circuit in Norwich.

He is currently attending college so unfortunately his music tends to have to take a back seat while he is studying at college. He is currently writing more material so that he can start playing more shows and hopefully he will tour later on in the

year.

Where does he practise ?

As Joe Potter is a singer-songwriter, he mainly practises at his house in Norwich alone, as he has

his own practise studio in a spare bedroom. He then invested in recording equipment so he could have the luxury of practising and recording in the

comfort of his own home.
