For the heading, a quote is presented in both red and white lettering. By using the white letting for “The best MCR” it separates it from the other text, implying it’s the most important bit of information to catch the readers eye.

The double page spread mainly consists of images of the band My Chemical Romance with little text shown. I think by using the arrangement of pictures the magazine has it is more interesting for the reader to look at. By including different shots of the band it helps give readers who potentially don’t know the band very well an insight as to who they are.

This graphical device is used to advertise the magazines website and is an easy way to get the readers attention. It also shows that there is gossip or information that readers can have access to.

This rectangle of text is used to display information about the bands newest songs. The colour white helps to separate the information from the other content of the double page. Also, read font is used to highlight the names of the songs.

I think the audience for this double page spread is people interested in rock music, possibly teens. This is because the band shown produce rock music and are successful in the music industry so they are well known.

When producing my double page spreads, I will take into consideration the presentation of this one. I like the way the images are arranged across the pages. I also like that its not cluttered with too much information and banners. Its well organized and easy to identify different information.

The heading is in smaller black font at the top of the page on the right. By using the sentence “The Most Exciting People In Music” it is going to draw in the reader instantly as they know its going to contain information about the most famous artists in the music industry.

By using a giant red ‘J’ in the middle od the text, it helps to represent the magazines style and is also the artists initial.

The main image is edited in a certain way, you can see the colours fade into each other across the image. This helps it to be the main focal point of the double page spread. The way Jay-Z is presented helps to represent his genre of music which is rap.

I think the picture and text being on separate pages is a good way to organize the information so the reader knows all the information is in one place. Also, we know straight away who the article is about due to the way the double page spread is presented.

A basic font is used to show the information about Jay-Z. This is helpful for the reader as it is easy to understand the text.

I think the audience for this magazine is late teens. This is because Q magazine is known for presenting all the top information on music. Also, the magazines produced by the company are always very sophisticated and well presented which would be unlikely for young children to want to look at.

After analyzing this double page spread, I like the editing of the picture and that it is the center of attention. However I don’t like the way the information is all crammed in one place. In my double page spreads I would like the information to be easily readable but presented differently than the way it is on this double page.

The heading of this double page spread is on the right hand page containing all of the information. It is shown in a different font and larger than the other text used. They have also highlighted the music artists last name in a different colour to show the reader exactly who the article is about.

The main image is edited to make it the center of attention on the double page spread. The font colours used compliment the editing of the image. I like the way the image not being over lapped by any boxes or separate information because it shows its importance.

On the page on the right is all the information about Bruno Mars. Each question is highlighted in bold which helps to separate the question being asked from the artists answer. I think it is ideal that each paragraph is separated from each other as it gives the page a more organized and spacious feel.

I think the audience for this magazine is older teens or young adults due to the fact Vibe aims its magazine at that specific audience. For my double page spreads, I like the way the main image is shown as well as the information about the artist. This is because I feel the pages aren't over complicated and attract me to read it.

In the top left hand corner, a small black banner is used against the white background which makes it stand out. The banner says “One on one with..” which shows that the double page spread is based on an interview with Rita Ora.

The artists name is spread across the double page spread which helps to catch the eye of the reader as soon as they turn onto this page. The read lettering against the light background also helps to make it bold. The lettering is also overlapping the image of the artist suggesting its importance of the double page.

As the background is busy, I like that there is not too much information all over the page. The separate boxes help the reader to identify each piece of information. Also, the questions are highlighted in red which is practical for the reader.

I think the audience for this double page spread is people who are fans of pop or R&B as that is the genre of music this artist makes. I also think girls are more likely to read this article than boys because of the artists specific audience. When making my double page spreads, I will think about the arrangement of this double page, as I really like the way its organized. I feel everything is in the right place and it is easy to identify which information you would want to read.
