Task groupsIn Casual
When managing complex projects you can decompose complex tasks or gather relevant tasks together by using Task Groups.
Any task can be converted to a group by pressing Convert to group button. Or press the right mouse button and select the same option in context menu.
To gather multiple tasks into a group you should select them and press the Group tasks button. Or call context menu and choose Group selection.
Double-click a group to open it. Pop-up window can be expanded by double-clicking on a title.
After you converted complex task into a group you can plan a sub-process inside it. The group becomescomplete when you complete every task inside it.
A colored line at the bottom of a task group indicatesa progress. Numbers show how many tasks in which state are in the group (green is for complete tasks, blue – active, grey – blocked).
Really complex projects may require creating groups inside other groups.
Each group opens inside the same window. To navigate back one level you can click on the arrow near a title of a window.
You can drag tasks into a group or from a group to a project canvas.
If you drag a task over a group and wait a moment, the group will open so you can put a task inside it.
Top-level groups and its contents are displayed in task lists as you see on the picture.
Group is still a task. Change name, write notes, set deadlines, work with files or comments as usual.
