Distribution & Production companies used

• The production company my group used was DB productions and the distributors for our project was Lion Paws.

• The companies we used are not big established worldwide companies, they are small and independent which is why we decided they were the best companies to use. This was mainly because financially we could not afford to go with major companies as this was a low budget project.

Decision Making

• During the decision making process we viewed different media texts such as ‘Honey Trap’ and ‘Attack the Block’.

• Both of the films were being distributed by independent companies like ‘Film 4 Production’ and ‘Anchor by’.

• The distributing companies these films used were suitable for us simply because of the type of release we have for our film. The film is going to be released straight to DVD as it is a digital release and this is the reason behind picking an independent company to distribute the project.

Idents

• As we were producing a film independently we had to get the idents for the Distribution and Production companies.

• Adding the idents of the Distribution and production companies helped make the movie longer. We felt it was extremely important to follow to codes and conventions of an independent titles sequence so we added various roles and texts onto the title sequence.
