another paper plate to our clocks to learn about the 5 minute time intervals.

In the lead up to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games the middle section has chosen a

South American theme for our class talks. The students have already begun some research during ICT. Their topic can be

chosen from:

An animal

A habitat

A landmark/icon

A country/capital city

WRITING This term the middle section

have begun learning about the structure of narrative

writing. We have been listening to childhood stories

such as Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Billy Goats Gruff

and changing these stories up to create our

narratives. Our Big Write topic for this week was based on Goldilocks and the Three

Bears.

HOMEWORK REMINDER!

We have started our reading and spelling homework again for Term Two.

It is important that your child is reading three nights a week and practising their

Students from Kinder to Grade 4 are encouraged to participate. The great thing about playing in Tatura is that we play under the great lights of Tatura Park and the Tatura Netball Association runs at the same venue, this makes it a great family night. The first session will be on Friday 15th April at 5.30pm. We are planning a meeting during the school holidays to ensure we are set for the season ahead as we would like to get team managers and umpires ready earlier.
