I mentioned a conversation with children at our church in Salisbury. I asked the children if anyone knew what the word ‘Lent’ meant. A 9 year old quickly raised her hand to say, “Lent is a time to get rid of stuff!” I pray that for the Lenten season we will seek to ‘get rid of the stuff’ in our lives that obstructs our lives of discipleship. May we seek to be rid of fear, worry, temptation and anything that prevents us from being faithful followers of Jesus. During Lent we will follow Jesus all the way to the cross. It was not an easy journey for Jesus and it is not an easy path to follow. We walk this journey knowing that the end of this journey for Jesus (and his followers) is RESURRECTION! It is a journey that we walk with one another, but especially with Jesus himself! We will focus in worship on several elements of this journey and this Sunday we will begin with “The Cross and Temptation.” (Matthew 4:1-11) I look forward to seeing you in worship this Sunday! Stewardship Information

STEWARDSHIP

A great method to give toward the church is via your online banking. If you use onlinebanking to pay your monthly bills, simply set the church up as a payee. You can then useyour online banking to also make donations to The Brandermill Church whenever youchoose. Unlike giving through your credit card on the church website, contributions madethrough your online banking do not cost the church any additional money in fees.

The March communion offering will support our POJ missionary in Haiti, CindyCorrel. Gifts will be collected all month. Please designate 'Correl' on your check, offering envelope or online donation.

As always, thank you for your generous support of The Brandermill Church andGod's work here!
