TCAA needs your help to
raise £134,000 every
month to fund our vital
transfer service for
seriously ill children and
babies.
The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) will provide an emergency helicopter transfer service for critically ill children
and babies across England. The service has been transferring specialist paediatric care teams to children since the
end of 2012, and will commence the emergency transfer of critically ill children by spring this year. By transferring
children between hospitals by air we can make sure that the journeys are done quickly and efficiently and ensure
that children get the lifesaving treatment they urgently need as soon as possible, avoiding potentially long and
arduous road journeys.
Approximately 5,800
children need transferring
every year in England, until
now the majority of
transfers have had to take
place by road.
Funded solely through the generous donations
received from the public and vital support from
corporate sponsors; the Charity receive no
Government or National Lottery funding.

TCAA in the news…
TCAA flew to Southampton Hospital to visit their
Paediatric Intensive Care Unit who will work with and
support the work of TCAA. Whilst visiting the hospital
here we met a family who’s baby would have greatly
benefitted from an emergency helicopter transfer, the
service that TCAA will commence in spring 2013.
