4.1 SYSTEM LAYOUT
• The distance between the PoE Switch and other devices (indoor monitor, door panel, network switch, guard unit) must not exceed 70 meters.
• The system supports up to 98 buildings, and a maximum of 32 IP cameras.
• Each room supports up to 3 monitors.
• The address of the other devices can only be set after first configuring the address of the 1st Building Panel (to either 5-Digit:01-801, or 6-Digit:01-9001). (See Appendix 1)

4.2 WIRING DIAGRAM
is the interface socket for alarm sensors, and is located at the back of the Monitor. Alarm sensors for four alarm zones can be connected to these ALM1, ALM2, ALM3, and ALM4 terminals.

Monitor Installation LocationInstall the Monitor about 1500mm from floor level so that the centre of the screen is at eye level. This means the centre of the metal wall bracket is 1450mm from floor level.
Installing the Indoor Monitor
1) Remove mounting bracket from behind monitor and fix it onto the wall with screws.
2) Install the cable and connect the system according to the wiring diagrams in Section 4.
3) Hang the monitor onto the mounting bracket.

6.2 CALL FUNCTION
6.2.1 Visitor Call From Building Panel or Entrance Panel
When a door panel calls, the visitor’s image will be shown on the
master monitor screen. Press the icon to talk with the visitor. Talking and Ringtone volumes can be adjusted.

6.2.2 Visitor Call From Indoor Panel
When a visitor calls from an indoor panel, their image will be shown on the master monitor screen.
Press the icon to talk with the visitor. Press to release the door lock.
6.2.3 Contacts – To View & Call
Press the [Call] icon on Main Page to open the Call page.
Then press the [Contacts] icon to view your contacts and press on a contact to call.

6.2.4 Contacts – To Add
Press the “+” icon in the top right corner of the Contacts page to open the Add Contacts page. Select the contact(s) you want to add. Then press the [Return Arrow] icon to confirm and return to the previous page.
6.2.5 Call Records
In the Call page, press the [Records] icon to review the call records. To filter for missed calls only, tap the “Missed” checkbox.
Press to playback the voice message from a visitor.
Press to view the picture automatically captured by door panel.
Press to call back a contact.
• To delete a call record, press & hold on a call record until a popup box appears. Select “Delete” from the popup menu to delete that call record only.
• To delete ALL call records, select “Delete All” from the popup menu.
• Pictures and voice messages are linked to call records. (up to 100 records)
• To view the manually captured snapshots, go to the Storage page. (See Section 6.6)

6.2.6 General settings
On the Call page, press the [Setting] icon to enter the Setting page.
On these pages, you can: (### The Guard Unit does not support this function)
• Enable/Disable the “Do Not Disturb” (or Mute) function. The intercom is muted when the setting is a solid white block. ###
• Enable/Disable the Intercom. When disabled, other monitors cannot call this monitor (except for the Guard unit and Door Keeper). ###
• Select the mode of leaving voice message: Immediately, Timeout, or Off. ###
• Select the ringtones when receiving calls from: Intercom, Building door, Indoor panel etc.
• Adjust the talking and ringtone volumes.
6.2.7 To Call Another Intercom
On the Call page, enter the address of the intercom monitor you want to call. Then press the [Call] icon to start the call. Press the red handset icon to terminate a call.
This system does not support intercom calls to within the same apartment.

6.3 MESSAGE FUNCTION
Press the [Message] icon on Main Page to show the Message page:
Press the [Inbox] icon to review received messages. You can also delete, forward and reply to messages.
Press the [Outbox] icon to review the messages that have been sent.
To Reply, Forward, or Delete messages, first tap on a message line to open it. Then tap the red Trash icon to delete the message. Or select either the blue or green arrows to Forward or Reply to this message.
Press the [New] icon to create a new message, enter the intercom address of the destination monitor you want to send the message
to. Edit the content and then press icon to send the message.
There are four types of messages:
1) Send to a single room:
Eg. To send to Building 1 Room 101, enter 01101 (for 5-Digit addressing) or enter 010101 (for 6-Digit addressing) into the address bar.
2) Send to multiple rooms:
5-Digit Addressing: Eg. To send to Building 1 Room 1, Room 2 and Room 12, enter 01001, 01002, 01012 in the address bar.
Eg. To send a message to Building 1 Room 1~30--input 01001~01030 in the address bar
6-Digit Addressing:
Eg. To send a message to Building 1 room 0101, 0102; enter 010101, 010102 in the address bar. For Building 2 room 0506, enter 020506 in the address bar.

3) Send to the whole Building:
Eg. For both 5-Digit & 6-Digits addressing: To send to Building 20 --input 20 in the address bar. (Building Guard can send to the corresponding building)
4) Send to the whole site:
For both 5-Digit & 6-Digits addressing: Enter “99” in the address bar.
Note:
• Ordinary users can only send single messages. Only the Guard unit supports group messages.
• When a monitor receives a new message, a prompt tone will sound.
• To Delete All Messages, press & hold a message for 2s, then select “Delete All” from the Popup message.
• The Building Guard can send messages to the corresponding Building, and Site Guard can send message to the whole site.

6.4 MONITOR FUNCTION
Press the [Monitor] icon on Main Page. Select to monitor either a Camera, Door panel, or Indoor Panel. The system supports up to 19 Building door panels, 32 cameras and 1 indoor panel.
Note:
• The Indoor monitor and Building Guard will only show the connected Building panel and Entrance panel. The Site Guard can show all the Building panels and Entrance panels.
• The talk function is disabled in Monitor mode.
• The monitor shows only the authorised cameras.

6.5 ALARM FUNCTION
Indoor monitor
Press the [Alarm] icon on main Page. Enter the password and press the icon to enter the Alarm screen as shown below: (default password: 9999)
• Tap [Zones] to review the alarm status of each zone.
• Tap [Alarm Logs] to review the alarm records.
• Tap [Factory Setup] to restore the monitor to factory settings.
• Tap [Siren Duration] to set the duration of the siren (1~99min).
• Tap [Alarm Password] to change the alarm password.
• Tap [Zone Setting] to enter the Zone Setting page, where you can:
• Set the zone name (default name: Zone1; Zone2; Zone3; Zone4)
• Set the type of sensor (Gas/Smoke, Water, Magnetic, PIR, or Custom Type)
• Set the trigger type of the sensor (Instant, Delay, 24h Instant, or Bypass)
• Set the alarm delay time (1~99s)
• Set the alarm activation delay time (1~99s)
• Set the alarm mode (NO/NC). (NC = Breaking the sensing line will trip the alarm)

• There are two alarm states:
- Presence mode (Disarmed)
- Leaving mode (Armed)
• Setting the monitor to Leaving mode will arm the alarm.
• The four alarm zones can be set individually as either Instant, Delay, 24-hour Instant, or Bypassed.
• When an alarm is triggered, the monitor siren will sound. Enter the Alarm Password and press the icon to turn off the alarm (Default Password: 9999). The Main Page icon (& Alarm state) will change either to Presence (disarmed) mode (for a delay or instant alarm), or stay in Leaving Mode (armed) (for a 24hr instant alarm).
• If an Alarm Zone is set to “Bypass“, its sensor will not trigger an Alarm.
• “24hr Instant” zones can be triggered anytime, regardless of the Alarm state. • The indoor monitor can store up to 100 alarm log records.
Guard unit
When the Guard Unit monitor receives an alarm, it will sound. Press
the icon to turn off the alarm.
Press the [Alarm] icon on Main Page, and the following screen will be displayed:
• Tap [Alarm Logs] to review the alarm records.
• Tap [Siren Duration] to set the duration of the siren.
• The guard unit can store up to 1000 alarm log records.

6.6 PICTURE REVIEW
Press the [Storage] icon on Main Page to open the Picture page.
Press to select a picture for viewing. Press / icons to select other pictures.
• In the Storage page, you can only review the manually captured pictures.
Tip: To view the automatically captured snapshots, open the Call Records page (See Section 6.2.5).
• To Delete a picture or to Delete All pictures, tap & hold for 2-sec on a picture item. Then select either “Delete” or “Delete All” from the popup menu.
• To save pictures, an external MicroSD Card (not included) is required. Insert an MicroSD Card (eg. Class 10 type) into the MicroSD Card slot.
• The MicroSD Card should be formatted before use. Tap [Setting] on the Main Page. Select [Reset] and then [Format MicroSD Card].

6.7 MAIN SETTING PAGE
Press the [Setting] icon on Main Page to enter the Setting page.
• In the [Common] page, you can enable/disable the touch tone function, change the user name, set the
language of the monitor, review the user manual (if supported), and choose to start in clean mode (to avoid any operation whilst cleaning).
Note: If you change the name of the monitor, it will be effective only after 24 hours.
• In the [WiFi] page, you can connect the monitor to a WiFi network. And also set the Call Forward to Off, Immediately, or Timeout. [Supported in WiFi Models only]
• In the [Reset] page, you can format the microSD card, restore the monitor to factory settings and restart the monitor.
• In the [Unlock Password] page, you can set your own Unlock Password for unlocking the entry Door. The password must be 4 digits and cannot be identical digits (eg. not ‘3333’ nor ‘8888’) nor consecutive numbers (eg. not ‘1234’ nor ‘4567’).
Note: The Guard Unit does not support this function.
• In the [About] page, the Software version of the monitor, its Building No., Room No. and Extension No. is displayed.

6.7.1 ENGINEERING SETTING
Indoor monitor
In the Engineering Setting page, you can perform an Engineering Reset and set the Engineering Password. You can also review and set the device information, as well as the location to direct an emergency call.
To enter this page, the Default Password is 0000.
TIP: To reset a lost Engineering Password, login to the Monitor using a Web browser. Then click “Restore Project Password” within the Web Client.
By default, emergency calls are directed to Building No. 99 & Room No. 901 (or address 99901), which is the call number of the Site Guard.

Guard unit
In the Engineering Setting page, you can perform an Engineering Reset. Set the Engineering Password and configure an IP Camera. You can also review and set the device information.
To enter this page, the Default Password is 0000.
TIP: To reset a lost Engineering Password, login to the Monitor using a Web browser. Then click “Restore Project Password” within the Web Client.
Press the [IP Camera Setting] item to enter the [IP Camera Setting] page.
On this page, you can enable/disable an IP camera. When the IP camera is enabled, you can enter its IP address, user name, password and select the stream mode (Main stream or Substream). Currently, only the Substream mode is supported. Press icon to confirm any changes.
• Each room can support up to 3 indoor monitors (Extension 1: Master monitor, Extension 2 and 3: Slave
monitors).
• When a door panel calls up, the visitor’s image is shown only on the Master monitor screen; the slave monitors will only sound its ringtone; If a slave monitor answers the call, then the visitor’s image will be shown on that screen.

6.8 LIFT FUNCTION
To configure a monitor as an Lift Monitor, set its Room No. to 821~839 (with its Building No. to 1~98). Currently, the Lift function only supports 5-Digit encoding.
In event of an emergency, the Lift monitor can be used to call the guard or a monitor.
• Press the icon to call the guard directly.
• Press the icon to enter the Dialing page:
Enter the address of the monitor to call and then press the [Call] icon to start the call.
• To restore the Lift monitor back to become an indoor monitor:
In this Dialing page, enter “99888”. Then tap the [Call] icon. When prompted, enter the password (Default password: 0000). Then change the Building No. & Room No. to a suitable address range (See Appendix 1).
• The Lift monitor screen is always lit.

7. SETTING UP WIFI MOBILE APP *Only for WiFi models
7.1 ADD A NEW DEVICE
This section is for setting up a device (eg. WiFi Monitor) to work with a mobile App.
1. Configuring the Device (Monitor)
a) In Monitor Setting page, select [WiFi]. Tap the white onscreen switch to enable WiFi (at top of screen, above the white line)
b) Select your WiFi network from the scanned list. Enter your WiFi login details.
c) Select your preferred Call Forwarding option:
a) Immediately: Immediately forward the call to the App
b) Timeout Forward the call to App after timeout period
c) OFF Do not notify App at all
d) Set a new “Unlock Password” (Setting >> Unlock Password)
Important: This same password is used by the App to login to the Device. This step must be completed for the App to access the monitor.
2. Adding the mobile App
a) Connect your smart phone to the same WiFi network
b) Download & open the „QVBELL“ app on your smartphone.
c) Tap the „+“ icon. Then tap „Device connected to network“
A Device can be added either (1) by selecting it as an WiFi Online Device, or (2) Added Manually.

3. Adding An Online Device
a) To add an „Online Device“, tap on that button. The screen will shortly display all available devices on the WiFi network.
TIP: The Device ID corresponds to the UID in the Monitor (Setting >> About >> UID)
b) Tap on the UID of your device.
c) Complete the details & tap “Save“.
Important: For the “Password“, enter the default password of “1234“. Tap “Save“ to save settings. The App will then prompt for a new password.
This new password applies for both the online access password, as well as the Unlock Code (for remote unlocking via the App).
Subsequent phone Apps must use this new App password (to Add Device)
Note: The Monitor can have its own, separate Unlock Password (App).

4. Manually Adding a Device
a) Select „Manual Adding“, and enter the device UID manually
b) Complete the details & tap “Save“.
Important: For the “Password“, enter the default password of “1234“. Tap “Save“ to save settings. The App will then prompt for a new password.
Remark:
• The App can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store (for iPhones), or from the Google Play (for Android phones).
• This section is based on the Apple iOS. The Android version is added in the same way.
• The UID of the monitor is unique
• To ensure proper connection, all permissions for the „QVBELL“ app must be allowed.

7.2 CONTROL THE MONITOR THROUGH THE APP
1. Select the device enter the monitor page
2. Press the „key“ icon and input the password(1234),and then you can release the door lock
3. The monitor screen on the cellphone can be switched to full screen display mode
4. An indoor monitor can support only 1 cellphone online

7.3 CALL FORWARD
1. In setting--Wifi page choose call forward
2. Press the setting icon at the upper-right corner and turn “Ring Alerts” to ON
3. When door station calls in,the cellphone will receive message and show ringing page
4. Press the accept icon and talk with the visitor
5. Press the lock icon and input the unlock password (default:1234), and then you can release the door lock
Remark:
• When the cellphone changed SIM card, you need to restart “Ring Alerts” to ensure that the cellphone can receive message normally

APPENDIX 1: INTERCOM NETWORK ADDRESSING
All Intercom devices have an unique address. This applies for all Door Panels, Monitors & Guard Units, except for the system PoE Switches and unmanaged Ethernet Switches.
There are two addressing modes: 5-Digit, or 6-Digit addressing modes
Tip: You can leave out any preceding zeroes in an Address.
To call a device within the same building, the Building Number can be omitted.
5-Digit Addressing Mode:
Five digits are used as an Network Address. This comprises of a 2-digit Building Number, followed by a 3-digit Room/Unit Number.
1) To call an Intercom in the SAME building, simply enter its 3-digit Room No.
Eg. To call Room 001, enter either “001“, “01“ or just “1“.
Eg. To call Room 012, enter “012“ or “12“.
2) To call an Intercom in a DIFFERENT building, enter its 2-digit Building no, followed by its 3-digit Room No.
Eg. To call Building 2, Room 001 (from a different Building), enter “02001“ (in full) or “2001“. Likewise, to call Building 10 room 001, enter “10001”.
6-Digit Addressing Mode:
Six digits are used as an Network Address. This comprises of a 2-digit Building Number, followed by a 4-digit Room/Unit Number.
1) To call an Intercom in in the SAME building, simply enter its 4-digit Room No.
Eg. To call Room 0101, enter either “0101“ or “101“.
Eg. To call room 1122, simply enter 1122.
2) To call an Intercom in a DIFFERENT building, enter its 2-digit Building No. followed by its 4-digit Room No.
Eg. To call Building 2, Room 0101 (from a different Building), enter Room 020101 or 20101.

APPENDIX 2: WEB CLIENT OPERATION
Using the web client, you can replace the background of the Monitor, reset its Project Password (or “Engineering Password”) and also update its firmware.
Each monitor and door panel has an unique Network IP address. Check its IP address before attempting to login using a web browser.
TIP: The IP address of a monitor can be found in: [Setting] >> [Engineering Setting] >> [Device Information]
Appendix 2.1 Login The Client
• Connect your computer to the Intercom network; eg. via a CAT5 network cable to the system PoE “Uplink” port.
• Modify the computer IP address to match the Intercom network segment (eg. set the computer IP adapter to the following settings: IP Address: 10.0.0.254, Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0., Default Gateway: 10.0.0.1)
• Open web browser, type in the IP address of the device (eg. Monitor or Door Panel) and press the “Enter” button to open the web login page
• Enter the username & password, then click “Login” item to enter the local configuration page (Default username: admin. Default Password: 888999).
• The computer and the device must be on the same network segment, otherwise the login will fail.
TIP: In Windows, change your Ethernet adapter settings under: Network Settings >> Change Adapter Settings
• Only Google Chrome browser is fully supported.

Appendix 2.2 Local Configuration Page
In the Local Configuration page, you can review the device information and IP address, replace or restore the background of the monitor, and reset the Project Password (or “Engineering Password”) of the monitor.
Appendix.2.3 User Management Page
Click the [User Management] tab to display the User Management page. Click the [Edit] button to set the Login Password.

Click the [Maintenance] tab to view & update the software version. Or to reboot the device.
