Changingthepaper

1. Pressthepaper chamber buttononthetop-leftcorneroftheterminaltoopenthepanelandremovetheemptypaperrolltube.

2. Unwrapanewpaperrollandplaceitinthepaperchambersothatthelooseendofthepaperfeedsupfromunderthepaperrolltowardsyou.

3. Pressdownonthepaneluntilitclicksshutandensurethereisabitofpaperstickingoutfromthechamberthatittouchesthetopoftheterminalscreen.

Cardholder Privacy and SecurityPleaserefertotheCardholder PrivacysheetinyourMerchantWelcomeKit.Itcontainsimportantinformationaboutyourresponsibilitiestoyourcustomersandtheirpersonalandtransactioninformation.

TerminalsecurityItistheMerchant’sresponsibilitytosecuretheirterminal,anyuserIDsorpasswordsandtopreventunauthorizeduse.InanyeventtheMerchantwillbeliableforanyunauthorizeduseoftheterminaloranyuserIDsorpasswords.Therearetwousersecuritysettings:

No security (Default)ThissettingdoesnotuseuserIDsandpasswords.Merchantsthatchoosetousenosecuritystillhavetheoptiontosetupastore/manageroverrideIDandpasswordtoaccessareasoftheterminalthathaveamandatoryrequirementforsupervisorpassword.

This transaction flow is used for credit card purchases where the credit card is present. If the purchase is via phone or mail, use the Phone or mail purchase instructions. If you use the incorrect purchase transaction you could incur extra charges.

PerformingdaycloseYouhaveadeadlinetoperformadayclose.Thisiscalledyourbalancingwindowanditissetonthesystem.Ifyourdaycloseisdonebeforeyourbalancingwindowends,you’llreceivesameornextbusinessdaydepositforcreditanddebitcardtotals.Otherwise,theywillbeforwardedtothenextbusinessday.

Youmustcloseyourbusinessdayoneach terminalinordertomaintainaccuraterecordsandbalanceyouraccounts.Closingthebusinessdayisimportantasit:

• Sendsanystoredtransactions(SAFs).

• Closesallopenbatches.
