Welcome to TD Merchant SolutionsThisisanewandexcitingproductthatoffersnewfunctionalityforyou,themerchant.Thefollowingmaterialswillprovidehelpfulinformationabouttheequipment,itsfeaturesandTDMerchantSolutions.PleaseensureyoureadthisguidesothatyoubecomefamiliarwiththecapabilitiesofthePortal2andhowitcansupportyourbusinessneeds.

ThedefaultscreeniscalledtheIdlescreen.Itdisplaysalotofimportantinformationanddifferentwaystoaccessyourterminal’sfunctionality.Ifyourequireuserstologintotheterminal,yourIdlescreenwillbetheoneontheleft.Aftertheterminalisunlocked,orifitdoesn’trequirealogin,itwillappearastheoneontheright.

3. Pressdownonthepaneluntilitclicksshutandensurethereisabitofpaperstickingoutfromthechamber.

TerminalsecurityItistheMerchant’sresponsibilitytosecuretheirterminalandtopreventunauthorizeduse.TheMerchantwillbeliableforanyunauthorizeduseoftheterminaloranyuserIDsorpasswords.Therearetwousersecuritysettings:

No security (Default)

ThissettingdoesnotuseuserIDsandpasswords.Merchantsthatchoosetousenosecuritystillhavetheoptiontosetupastore/manageroverrideIDandpasswordtoaccessareasoftheterminalthathaveamandatoryrequirementforsupervisorpassword.

ThisoptionallowstheusertoenablealoginforsupervisorsandoperatorswithanIDandpasswordorjustIDlogin.Thesupervisorsetuprequiresyoutocreateapassword.

CallforauthorizationSometimes,duetoacommunicationorsecurityissue,atransactioncannotorshouldnotbecompleted.Thistransactionmayrequirethatyoucallforauthorizationtoensurethatthecardisingoodstandingandthatthetransactioncanbecompleted.Seethelistofmessagesandeventsbelowthatwillcauseyoutocallforauthorization.
