Union Minister lays foundationfor India's largest Dry Dock

Union Minister for

Shipping, Road Transport

and Highways, Shri Nitin

Gadkari laid the foundation

for the country's

largest Dry Dock at

Cochin Shipyard in Kerala

today.

It is being constructed at a

cost of Rs 1,799 crore and

will be completed by May

2021. It is expected to

generate employment

opportunities for about

2,000 people.

Speaking on the occasion,

Shri Gadkari said the

government has no plan to

privatize profit-making

industr ial units in the

country.

He also said the Centre has

a plan to invest in Inland

Waterways in Kerala. He

lauded the contributions of

Cochin Shipyard in the

field of skill training in ship

building.

Speaking on the occasion,

Kerala Chief Minister Shri

Pinarayi Vijayan said the

Cochin Shipyard has

played a key role in the

economic development of

Kerala.

He said the new initiative

would further boost the

economic prospect of the

State and India's share in

global shipping Industry

will rise to two per cent.

Two 500 capacity

passenger vessels built by

their vehicles, but at

present, either the single

digit registration marks are

reserved by the Govt. orremaining numbers are

available to the motor

vehicle owners only for the

current series. Now, the

Transport Department,

under the A&N

Administration hasdecided to make more fancy

registration numbers

available to the motor

vehicle owners.

In this regard, from Nov 5,

2018 onwards, not only the

single digit registration

numbers of current series

will be available for

reservation but also the

fancy registration numbers

of two subsequent serieswill be made available for

reservation by paying

Transport Deptt. to allot fancy registration numbers

Vehicle owners may reserve suchnumbers by paying additional fees

some additional fees. Incase of more applications

for a particular registration

number is received, the

highest bidder among the

applicants will be allotted

the registration number.

From now onwards, one

can see the plying of

vehicles with single digit

registration numbers like

0001, 0002 etc. The

applicant will have toproduce the vehicle for

rover, spinners, abs trainer etc. The equipments have been clamped onto concrete

slabs, making it impossible to move them manually and are rain proof, a communication

well as in Private Medical/Dental Colleges in Bangladesh for the

academic year 2018-2019 under “SAARC quota” and under “Self

Finance Scheme” for foreign nationals

It is brought to the notice of all concerned that as per the communication

received from the First Secretary, Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi,

applications are invited for admission in MBBS/BDS courses in Govt.

Medical/Dental Colleges as well as in Private Medical/Dental Colleges in

Bangladesh for the academic year 2018-2019 under “SAARC quota” and

under “Self Finance Scheme” for foreign nationals.

The application form would be available (free of cost) from 18th October,

2018 to 10th November, 2018 during office time on all working days from the Mission or can be downloaded from the website www.bdhcdelhi.org. The

students or their legal guardians requested to submit photocopies of students’ mark sheets and certificates of class 10th& 12thalongwith the copy of passport

at the time of submitting the application form.

The filled application form may be submitted at Bangladesh High

Commission, EP-39, Dr. S.Radhakrishnan, Marg, Chanakyapuri, New

Delhi on or before 10th November, 2018.
