He said that healthy family makes a healthy nation. Addressing the International Conference on Women Health, Wellness and Empowerment in Kanpur today, the President said that even though girl children face more restrictions in our society in comparison to boys, they are surging ahead in many areas, with determination and skill. President stresses upon good health of expecting mothers and newly born children President said that this is a welcome trend and must be encouraged. He also added that when we give our daughters and young girls the freedom to venture out, to explore and find their potential, they soar higher and higher. Referring to Ayushman Bharat health insurance programme, Shri Kovind said the scheme envisages providing health coverage to socially and economically disadvantaged sections. President Shri Kovind said that with a potential to help over 10 crore families and 50 crore citizens, it is the world's largest health care programme. Shri Kovind said that under Swachh Bharat scheme 8.5 crore toilets have been erected and 5 lakh villages have become Open defecation free in the country. Addressing another seminar by Talent Development Council at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agricultural and Technology, Shri Kovind said value-added education is important for nation building. He said India always gave the message of love and culture to the world. New Delhi, Oct. 6 Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley today said that there are some more steps on the anvil to narrow the current account deficit and bolster forex inflows. He also said that there are huge avenues for Indian economy growth in the next 10-20 years. Speaking at a summit in New Delhi, Shri Jaitley said that most currencies are weakening against the dollar and it's a global phenomenon. He added that India's ability to maintain the current growth rate for a decade or two is reasonably certain. Enunciating some of the steps taken recently, he said the government has cut the borrowing target for the current fiscal by Rs 70,000 crore rupees and allowed oil companies to raise USD 10 billion US dollars in one year. He mentioned that due to connectivity issue, the stakeholders and visiting AATO highlights issues of Sound & Light shows tourists are facing problems while booking tickets online for the shows as transaction of Rs. 2000/ is only allowed at a time, making it difficult for payment. He also requested the Chief Secretary to consider issuance of tickets manually as practiced earlier and to consider revision of their rates by keeping a uniform rate for all the shows. A statement from the UN said the plan, developed in consultation with Indonesian government officials, outlines how the humanitarian community working in the country will provide targeted, technical assistance. Over 1,500 people died in last week's quake-tsunami. Indian skipper Virat Kohli on

Friday hit his 24th Test Century

and surpassed former

Australian skipper Steve Smith

(23) to record the most number

of Test hundreds by an active

player. He achieved the feat

during the ongoing first Test

against West Indies at

Saurashtra Cricket Association

Stadium, Rajkot. During his

knock, Kohli also amassed

3000 Test runs in India (53

innings).

The World No 1 batsmen also

became the only Indian player

and captain to score 1000+

calendar years. Kohli, hit 1,059

runs (five 100s) in 16 innings

in 2017 with an average of

75.64 and 1,215 in 2016 (four

Earlier this year, he hit 153

(217) against South Africa at

The much-delayed 36th

National Games in Goa will be

held from March 30 to April 14

next year. Sports Authority of

Goa (SAG) Executive Director

V M Prabhudesai made the

announcement in Panaji today

after a meeting with visiting officials

of the Indian Olympic Association.

The Games were earlier

scheduled to be held next month.

Prabhudesai said at a media

conference that Opening and

Closing ceremonies will be held

at PJN Stadium, Fatorda. The

Opening ceremony will be on

March 30 and closing ceremony

will be on April 14.

Prabhudesai said shooting and

cycling events will be held in New

Delhi as Goa does not have

facilities for these two sports.

He said five sports -- Rugby,

Wushu, Modern Penthatlon,

Lawn Bowl, and Billiards and

Snooker -- will be added in the

Games programme.

for the protection of Isles' flora and fauna. The exhibition

consisted of various sections, comprising of different

types of rare collection of butterflies of Dr. T.C. Khatri,

stamp collections of Ms. Geeta on rare and endemic

species of A&N Islands along with endangered species

of various vertebrate and invertebrate from the rest of

India and the world; besides a special attraction on live

snakes viz. King Cobra, Andaman Pit Viper and Rat

change adoption and on Vulnerability assessment also.

11. The rate shall include all cost including transportation of persons to work site,
