    Problem Statement

Design and Deployment of Wireless Surveillancesystem for monitoring Remote perimeters of TEAestates in OOTY and other places.

Main objective is to monitor the movement ofanimals and other kinds of intrusions through outthe perimeter and reporting the same in real timeto the concerned authorities.

The idea is to incorporate IP camera basedsurveillance system which monitors the activity ofperimeters at equal distances of 300 meters onthe perimeter transferring the the video in realtime to a Network video monitoring and

Recording Software for analysis and reporting.

    Basic Solution

    Objectives and requirements:

    a. Provide Wireless Access points at each selected perimeter pointto which a stand alone camera with night vision will beattached. This video will be relayed through the WAP to acentral monitoring station / central station corresponding to

that TEA estate where the manager / Surveyor can view thevideo in the PC deployed over there.b. The following are the equipment required at each selected

perimeter point for relaying the video to the Central station /Unit .

    1. IP Camera with night vision capability (1 in number) : There

are various models depending on your requirement.2. WAP equipment with inbuilt directional patch antenna andother required accessories. Please refer the quotation for yourreference (singareni_CCTV_basicquote.pdf).

    3. Power supply unit , surge suppressor , Lighteningprotector etc

    Advanced Solution

    Objectives and requirements:

    a. This is nothing but basic solution + solar power pack for 24/7power backup. This constitutes a solar power pack at eachperimeter point which can provide a power backup for 3 daysautonomy. The PV panel and the battery components will be

chosen accordingly. Also this can be supplemented with ACmains which can help in the situation of continuous powerfailure for three days in rainy season especially.

    b. Provide Wireless Access points at each perimeter point to whicha stand alone camera with night vision will be attached. Thisvideo will be relayed through the WAP to a bunker monitoring

station / central station corresponding to that estate where themanager / Surveyor can view the video in the PC deployed overthere.

    c. The following are the equipment required at each perimeterpoint for relaying the video to the Central station / Unitcorresponding to that bunker.

    1. IP Camera with night vision capability (1 in number) : Thereare various models depending on your requirement.
