1. What is Augmented Reality? A technology that superimposes a
computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus
providing a composite view.

photo overlays that appear when trigger pictures are scanned with
the Aurasma app. 0 Create interactive word walls that produce the

boards that provide additional information about items on the
board. 0 Have students create projects that incorporate images
which can be scanned and produce video overlays.

discoverable Auras as assignments to groups. 0 Have groups create
Auras with their own devices for quiz/test reviews (verb
conjugations, grammar concepts). 0 Allow students to go around the
school and create discoverable Auras everywhere, e.g. restroom
signs could produce a message to wash your hands- in Spanish and
English.
5. The Aurasma App: The Steps 0 Create a free account on
Aurasma. 0 Click on the triangle on the bottom of the screen. 0
Click on the + to create a new project. 0 Choose Library or Device.
0 Click on the + on the top of the screen. 0 Select an overlay from
the library or your iPad. 0 Select camera or photo album if you
choose the iPad. 0 If you select camera, you may create your
recording. 0 Click finish. 0 Click on your overlay, then select. 0
Create the trigger picture and take a picture of it, making sure
the slider moves to the yellow or green zone.
6. The Aurasma App 0 Name your new Aura. 0 Select public or
private. 0 Click on finish, then add to your channel. 0 Post the
trigger picture in your classroom. 0 Amaze visitors as you have
students scan your Auras.

videos with customizable speaking cartoon characters. 0 Choose a
male or a female character. 0 Customize the head, hair, eyes, and
clothing. 0 Add the background of your choice. This can be any

90 second. 0 Save the video and URL for sharing. 0
