Tea to take you through the day.

SYMBOLISM

I have used a combination of name and symbolization in the naming/logo, linking the end of the “a” to a leaf. This conveys a distinctive logo for the connection between the leaf logo and the loose leaf tea. Also adding a slogan suggesting/upselling the trio of tea flavours.

TONE & COLOUR

Puritea has an earthy quality of tone to its presentation, however it has been kept neutral to themes and target market where possible. Tieing into the tone is also the colour tones used on the main label and the lid sticker– the colours are based off the tea flavours to help identify the ingredients, with a slightly lighter tone so that they aren’t overpowering. This has resulted in a slightly more feminine colour scheme.

STYLE, RELATIONSHIPS & MATERIALS

I tried to go as simple as possible, whilst still incorporating a pleasant/ subtle pattern. Also tying in with the name of the tea “Puritea” to relate to a more organic style, using recycled paper for labeling. Both the simple style and use of earthy materials link together to give an earthy, organic and pure feeling to “Puritea”.

TYPOGRAPHY:

For the main headings, Morning Tea, Afternoon Tea and Sweetest Dreams – as well as the Puritea logo I used my own handwriting to create a serene and simple “feel” and style to the packaging – almost giving the labeling a more personal feel. However with the information I kept the type simple and easy to read, leaving the main focus on the rest of the design.
