Our mission is to represent the aims of Alternative Fuel Motorsport in the BARC / DUNLOP SPORTS MAXX Championship.
We are actively seeking partners to assist in reaching our goal to be the first top Diesel fuel team in the BARC / DUNLOP SPORTS MAXX Championship.
The BARC / DUNLOP SPORTS MAXX Championship was built in 2008 to provide a natural progression through to the fully televised BTCC Championship.
We recognise that any involvement with partners must be careful, considered investments.
In order to gain maximum benefits from such initiatives, it requires a mutual undertaking to provide quality material, beneficial to both parties.
Team AFM Racing’s ultimate goal is to use the BARC / DUNLOP SPORTS MAXX series as a development programme for up and coming new drivers, and to enable Team AFM to again be part of the BTCC Championship and to challenge the top manufacturing teams.
In 2007 Team AFM Racing entered the first diesel powered saloon car in the BTCC Championships history.
With constant development throughout 2007, enabling us to switch to bio-diesel in the last three rounds of the Championship, again a first.
Reliability was key to our success with finishes in all rounds entered.
During the course of the 2007 season with the ongoing development we brought ourselves within 2.2 seconds of the front pace runners allowing us to challenge the independent teams for grid positioning and race positions.
