About Let Me Out’s Team BuildingLet Me Out has been designing and delivering team building challenges and activities to corporate groups in New Zealand since 2008.

Our team building challenges and activities are designed

to create of a sense connection, team work, creativity,

strategic thinking and freshness for groups at all levels

of their organization and for all types of people.

Taking part in a Let Me Out event will help develop understanding within teams, trust and collaboration between people and re‐ignite their energy to tackle work and personal challenges for the year ahead.

Team Building at Waitakere EstateOn the following pages you’ll find a range of activities that work well at Waitakere Estate. Please use these examples as a guide and don’t hesitate to contact us for a bespoke package to suit your specific event needs.

POCKET SHOT

A modern day take on archery and target shooting with hand-held slingshots and variety of ammunition. The Pocket Shot is the evolution of the slingshot.

Shoot paint balls at the wild boar boards, fire arrows at the targets and tin can stack and get points and prizes for your efforts.

Our facilitator teaches the groups the importance of safety and proper shooting technique to ensure that the participants have fun but in a safe and controlled environment. Suits people of all ages and abilities.

For a group your size we also include a Giant Garden Game such as Giant Kerplunk to ensure the enjoyment of your team at all times.

The activity can be done on a casual, have a go basis or as a round robin competitive challenge.

Suitability: Suits people of all ages and abilities, easier than archery for people who struggle with shoulder or arm strength due to injury.

Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours



FLING IT DARLING!

Fling it is all about team work and connecting together to fling your ball with your towel (one team mate on each corner) across the net towards the opposition.

Sounds simple but there’s a lot to do in order to fling it successfully. You have to talk to each other, there has to be synchronicity and there must be a willingness to work as a unit. Heaps of fun with tons of laughter will follow helping people to let their guard down and be themselves within their team.

We combine this great challenge with a veritable variety of things to fling, shoot and pull that allows your team to enjoy a relaxed fun time together out on the lawn and around the grounds. But there’s more to these fun games as they are not what they might first seem. None of them are possible without clear communication and team work. The most united teams will come out on top.

Let Me Out provides the equipment and the professional facilitation to guide your team through activities in a carnival atmosphere with fun stations.

Activities include:· The Super-sized noughts and crosses Race· No mistakes drill relay· Katapult challenge· Golden Gumboot Challenge

Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours



HUMAN ANIMATION DRONE CHALLENGE

Hi tech videography meets team work and culture building all in one challenge.

We challenge your team to create a human animation that will be captured by the drone from way up in the sky. But there’s more! Your team has to decide who does what in order to get ready for the shoot which takes place 5 minutes before the end of the challenge time.There are roles for everyone from Producer, to Technical Team, Creative Department, Props Team and more. But we don’t tell anyone which role to fulfil – that’s entirely up to them.

This brings out a real sense of inclusiveness in the team, there are tense moments as groups work through the challenge and find a way to meet the deadline and work effectively together to make it happen. The whole group is responsible for the team dynamics, culture, approach and outcome.

Suitability: Suits people of all ages and abilities. Passive and active roles in each challenge.

Duration: 1 – 1.5 hrs (flexible)



NOSTALGIA GAMES

A fun round robin of old school activities to remind you of days gone by.Includes:

Walking Bull Rush warm up (your whole group will be hooting with laughter within seconds of the first whistle, guarantees!), Big Rope Skipping – how many team members can jump for how many jumps within the same rope; Elastics, also known as Chinese skipping – patterns and rhythm combined in this simple team work challenge; Jacob’s Ladder – can you create a Parachute? Or Jacob’s Ladder with strings on your fingers?; Giant Kerplunk – work as a team to pull sticks from the cage without dropping the balls. A real strategic test that encourages communication, understanding and agreement between team members.

Your group will be giggling within seconds of the start of the first game – guaranteed!

There are rounds of activities where teams compete for points towards their final score. Each activity has active and passive roles within them so people can choose to take part at whatever level they are comfortable with.

Duration: Flexible between 1 and 2 hours

Suitability: Suitable for all levels of ability and participate to the level you prefer. Passive and active roles in each challenge.



CROQUEMBOUCHE CHALLENGE

Join us for one of Let Me Out’s most popular activities! Whether your team is big or small, this challenge is always a winner for laughter and creativity.

We challenge your teams to build a towering dessert from a box of ingredients and utensils provided by us. It’s a real Master Chef inspired challenge against the clock where groups have to work together to achieve the task. If they succeed they get to eat the dessert at the end!

Don’t worry your profiteroles are already baked by us, but your team will need to be up the challenge of their allocated tasks to bring together a famously French creation…that once completed hopefully doesn’t fall over!

Teams really get to know each other, who can focus on the task at hand, who focuses on causing havoc for the opposing teams and who can’t work a microwave! Seriously funny, this activity can’t be completed without communication and team work.

Duration: Approximately 45 mins.

Suitability: People of all ages and abilities. Works well as an indoor activity but can be run outside if weather allows.

SustainabilityLet Me Out adopts sustainable practices throughout its business and event management projects ensuring that stock, props and collateral are ethically sourced to minimize waste and to create only a positive impact on the environment. We tackle any new activity design challenge with a passion for upcycling, reusing and using natural and sustainable products, minimizing waste and new plastics as much as possible.

We use eco friendly, compostable containers for our large scale Taste Challenges and catering; all waste is sorted during events into recyclable, compostable and landfill bins; our company E‐Bikes and public transport are our preferred method of travel, whenever practical during our working lives, to help reduce fuel consumption and lighten the load on our roads.
