Greetings In Christ – I pray this inds you all enjoying your summer vacation – it’s amazing how fast it has lown by! As I think back to the creation of CampVeritas in the summer of 2009, never did I think it would have such an impact on our community – Praise God that He is in charge and not me! Since that summer, because of your prayers and support, CampVeritas has guided several hundred teens and adults on their spiritual journey! What started out as a simple camp with 10 young teenagers has grown into a summer spiritualretreat for a few hundred teens every year! As in years past, I am writing you today to please prayerfully consider signing your teen(s), and a friend, up for this camp - you will not be disappointed, and neither will your teenager(s). As of right now, we are blessed to have the following amazing individuals as our spiritual guides and speakers for the two retreats – and will add a few more before the retreats: • Fr. Ken Geraci, the Vocations Director from the Fathers of Mercy • Fr. Nathan LaLiberte, the Pastor of St, Maximillian Kolbe in Delano • Fr. Byron Hagan, a priest with the Archdiocese of St Paul (and former Deacon in Loretto three summers ago) • The School Sisters of Christ the King in Lincoln, NE • Mr. Joe Rutten, the Director of the New Benedictine Leadership Institute at Mt. Marty College in Yankton, SD The dates for the Senior High Camp (Genesis 1:27 – Created in His Image and Likeness), for kids who were in grades 9-12 for the 2017-18 school year, are August 5-9; and the dates for the Junior High Camp (Lord, Teach us to Pray), for kids who were in grades 6-8 for the 2017-18 school year, are August 12-16. The cost is $225, and we have scholarships available – absolutely no one is turned away for inancial reasons, ever. Anotherexcitingnote,FrHaganhasgraciouslyofferedtocontinuethetraditionstartedthreeyearsagoofofferingtheExtraordinaryFormLatinMassfortheteensatcamp–thankyouFatherHagan! Our camp is breathtakingly beautiful. I encourage you to visit their website at www.broom-tree.org. We all have air-conditioned cabins, beds (no sleeping on loors), bathrooms in the cabins, 100s of acres of rolling hills, a lake, a motor coach bus with air conditioning, and best of all, the meals are all catered by Mr. Danny & Dobos - the food alone is worth coming for!!! Despite all of the fun we have, the teens will tell you the highlight of the camp for them is their time with Jesus in Daily Mass or in our evening Holy Hour with Adoration and Confession. It is so inspiring to see over 100 teens in prayer every evening – the graces received are truly “out of this world”. Beside Mass and adoration, we have two amazing talks every day, camp ire Rosary, small group time, and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Please do not miss out on this opportunity for your child(ren). Additionalinformationandregistrationforms can be found on the parish website at www.saintsppta.org. We have set Thursday, July 19th, as our registration deadline as we need to submit the t-shirt order and complete the transportation arrangements by that date. God bless you all! Ryan
