    Dakar 2013Husqvarna TE 449 RS.

Husqvarnas latest E2 class production bike forms the basis

for our rally special. Building on the revolutionary G 450 X built

by parent company BMW, the Husqvarna has developed and

rened the machine into fantastic race bike. The bike starts as

a very good basis for a rally machine, and with much improved

standard suspension, frame design as well as the excellent

electronics that BMW introduced, it results in an extremelyreliable and tough machine.

Using the experience Simon gained from the 2011

Dakar rally, the bike has been rened and redeveloped

to create what will be one of the strongest and most

reliable race bikes in the eld.

The team are working closely with Safari Tanks of

Australia in developing unique tanks that remove the

sub-frame to solve the major issue Simon suffered

from in this years Dakar rally. The similarities of the

Husqvarna allow for us to continue the development

from last years bike a create a strong, reliable, comfortable and rideable

race bike that can only come about from years of experience.

    Dakar 2013Dakar 2012Press Coverage

Team Paveys 2011 effort was seen very much as an

experiment for the future and gave some fantastic results

    from a very small operation.

Simons following showed greatly the potential his

brand has and provides a great basis from which the

whole team can grow. Between the media contacts

and understanding Simon and Llewelyn have, and the

media skills Llewelyn brings the two of them were ableto grow and market Simons Dakar effort with little time

    and get substantial results.

As well as several key updates pre-rally, a press

release, with images was produced daily and fed out

to all leading motorcycle media in the UK as well as

    various other outlets.

    Web Media

Something that had never played much into previousDakar efforts, but for 2011 the decision was made that

it needed to be embraced much more heavily. It lead to

Simon having one of the best and easiest to follow Dakar

stories of any of the motorcycle teams in the race.

As well as www.simonpavey.com a Facebook fan page

and twitter account were started to improve the access

for fans to follow the story. Adventure Motorcycling forum

ADVrider.com was also used to great effect.

For 2013 we are looking continue in the same vein as it

    worked very well previously.

3100 Facebook likes. Growth of 1900 during December/January

    2011.

    1200 Daily users during December/January.

3000 Twitter followers. Growth of 2000 during December/January

    2011.

Average of 6000 Facebook impressions per comment.
