Body Preparation

Correct preparation of rawmaterials is essential to achieving excellent, consistentresults - and requires the reliability, experience and know-how that only a world leader can offer.Automatic raw material batching offers flexible solutions that can be adapted to suit individual body characteristicsand output volumes. Especially for the demandingand difficult requirements of high quality ceramics and hard metal industries, a specialmodel range of wet and drygrinding ball mills has beendeveloped in co-operation with potential users. The most important characteristics are:• Heavy-duty direct driven

shaft for precise and non-slipgrinding and mixing procedures controlled by frequency converters,

Process & TechnologyThe slip is cast onto a preciselymachined stone plate, on which the carrier tape is moved smoothly and withoutperturbations. By the electricadjustable doctor blade the slurry is spread homogeneouslyand the thickness is exactlycontrolled by the laser measuring device.Subsequently the wet ceramictape is passing a 3-partitedrying channel with individualadjustment of air flow and temperature. After the exit of the drying channel the ceramic tape is forwarded to the following working steps,whilst the carrier tape is automatically re-winded.All relevant process parameters are adjusted and regulated by an up-to-date central control unit. The concept of the tape casteris made as per the individualresp. specific requirements of the user.

Mittels motorischverstellbarer Gießrakel (“DoctorBlade”) wird die Gießmasseexakt aufgetragen und anschließend die Schichtdickeüber Lasermesstechnologiefestgehalten. Die nasse keramische Folie durchläufthernach einen dreigeteiltenTrockentunnel mit separat einstellbaren Luftmengen und -temperaturen. Nach demAustritt aus dem Trockenkanalwird die keramische Folie weiterkonfektioniert, während dieTrägerfolie wieder aufgerollt wird.Sämtliche prozessrelevantenParameter werden über die zentrale Steuereinheit vorgegeben und überwacht. Die Ausführung derFoliengießanlage erfolgt nachden individuellenKundenerfordernissen.

Shaping technology withhydraulic presses from LAEISWith its technical and technological developments in hydraulic pressing, LAEISopens a wide field of newapplications in technical ceramics.Volumetric and gravimetric feeding systems - or also combined systems - guarantee highest precision and repeataccuracy for mould filling and weight constancyof the pressed products. Specifically adapted mould filling systems (including two-component systems) allow for a controlled materialdistribution in the mould in order to ensure a uniformdensification and an homogeneous density distribution, even for complexgeometries or large sized products. PallettizzazioneI piccoli pezzi con corpo inceramica sono contrassegnatida una scritta. I pezzi sono disposti e sistemati su pallet. Due robot lavorano in modocoordinato. Il primo robot, provvisto di sistema di visione, identificala posizione dei pezzi e la passa al secondo che porta i pezzi alla stazione di lavoro per la marcatura lasere inizia la pallettizzazione. Per ogni pezzo l’operazionerichiede 5 sec. compresa la marcatura laser.
